About this guide
Scope: Base game, including the NCART functionality introduced in Update 2.1. This guide covers the named fast-travel and metro location Metro: Glen North, together with the immediately associated exterior streets, drop point and nearby mission area. It does not treat the whole of The Glen as part of the station itself.
Overview
Metro: Glen North is an NCART station and fast-travel point in The Glen sub-district of Heywood, Night City. In the original release of Cyberpunk 2077, the location functioned principally as an exterior fast-travel dataterm. Update 2.1 added the usable metro system, making Glen North a proper passenger station and a useful connection between Heywood, City Center, Westbrook and other parts of Night City.
The station is also one of the most important unmarked investigation points in The Highwayman, a hidden side job involving James, Josie and the stolen ARCH Nazaré “Itsumade”. The side job does not begin at the station, but Glen North is where V investigates Josie’s disappearance by following a blood trail to a nearby alley.
Although its name contains “Glen”, Metro: Glen North should not be confused with the entire The Glen sub-district. The station is one named point within that wider Heywood area, alongside separate locations such as Metro: Glen South, Metro: Ebunike, Glen Apartment, Valentino Alley and El Coyote Cojo. The Glen itself has a much broader geography and a substantially larger collection of missions, buildings and encounters.
Location and boundaries
Administrative hierarchy
The Glen is Heywood’s central sub-district. It should be distinguished from Vista del Rey and Wellsprings, the other named Heywood sub-districts. Fast-travel listings place Metro: Glen North among the Heywood stations, not among City Center or Westbrook locations.
Practical boundary used in this guide
For navigation and directory purposes, “Metro: Glen North” means:
It does not include every named building or activity in The Glen. For example, Glen Apartment, Metro: Glen South, Valentino Alley, El Coyote Cojo and the wider streets of the district are separate points of interest, even when they are close enough to reach on foot.
Administrative hierarchy: The location belongs to the following hierarchy
- 01Night City
- 02Heywood
- 03The Glen
- 04Metro: Glen North
What the station is used for
Fast travel
Before the functional metro system was added, Metro: Glen North was primarily a fast-travel location. Players could select its dataterm from the map and use it as a travel destination, but the station was not a fully explorable public-transit interior in the normal sense. Contemporary descriptions of the pre-2.1 system describe NCART entrances as fast-travel points rather than usable trains.
Fast travel is available from the station once the relevant dataterm has been discovered. The exact presentation can differ slightly depending on game version and whether the player is interacting with a standard dataterm or the newer metro interface.
Riding NCART
Update 2.1 introduced the usable metro system, including 19 stations across five lines. Glen North is included in the station network and can be used as a boarding point once the feature is available in the player’s game. The NCART map identifies Glen North as a Heywood station and places it on routes connecting the inner city with Heywood, Westbrook and other districts.
Metro travel is a transport system, not a separate mission area. The player does not receive a unique station combat challenge, vendor inventory or station-exclusive upgrade merely by riding from Glen North.
Connections and nearby stations
The exact options presented by the NCART interface depend on the active line and direction. The most relevant named connections are:
The available metro route lists place Glen North on the wider Heywood and Westbrook network. Some public route diagrams group the stations differently by line, so the in-game NCART map should be treated as the final authority for the active route rather than relying on an unofficial simplified map.

Quest-related places
The unmarked station and the named Glen North fast-travel point are close enough that guides often refer to them together. They should nevertheless be treated as separate quest geography: the map label is the navigation anchor, while the blood trail and body are the mission objects.

About this guide
Major spoilers for The Highwayman
The Highwayman
The Highwayman is the defining activity associated with Metro: Glen North. It is a hidden side job rather than a normal marked mission that simply appears when V reaches the station.
Starting the side job
The Highwayman begins at an unmarked garage in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo. V must investigate the damaged motorcycle and examine the available clues, including the laptop and photograph. The side job can be started by all lifepaths, and guides generally list its unlock condition as completing The Ride.
The first stages direct V to find James near Japantown. After speaking with him, the investigation points towards The Glen and Metro: Glen North.
Finding Josie
The trail may be easy to miss if the player simply follows the road or searches only at the fast-travel marker. The objective is not necessarily solved by standing directly on the station icon. Look around the station entrances and continue towards the Drop Point, where the blood evidence begins according to multiple walkthroughs.
What the investigation reveals
The shard establishes the next part of the story: Josie had taken a Tyger Claw leader’s motorcycle and hidden it elsewhere. V must return to James, resolve the confrontation and then locate the hidden garage in Northside.
The later garage is not within Metro: Glen North’s boundary. It is a separate destination in Watson near the All Foods Plant. This distinction matters because the reward belongs to the full side job, not to the station as a collectible or local prize.
Choice involving James
After V returns to James, the player can handle the confrontation through dialogue or provoke a violent outcome. The precise result depends on the chosen dialogue. The mission can be completed either way, and the major reward remains available.
Reward
Completing the side job awards the ARCH Nazaré “Itsumade”, a motorcycle. Published walkthroughs also list experience and Street Cred as part of the reward package, although the exact displayed values may vary by version, difficulty or guide formatting. The motorcycle is obtained at the later Northside garage, not at Metro: Glen North.

Residents, factions and security
No uniquely named permanent resident, faction headquarters or boss arena has been verified as belonging specifically to Metro: Glen North. The station is a public transport location rather than a gang-controlled interior or a mission combat compound.
The surrounding Glen belongs to the wider social and criminal landscape of Heywood, including Valentinos activity elsewhere in the sub-district. That broader faction association should not be converted into a claim that the station itself is a Valentinos base or that every nearby NPC is a member of the gang.
Likewise, ordinary station passengers and pedestrians are ambient NPCs. They should not be listed as named residents unless the game gives them a unique name or a documented role in a mission.
Items and collectibles
The following are confirmed or strongly documented as obtainable in connection with the station area:
The evidence shard and motorcycle should not be described as permanent free-roam collectibles independent of the quest. The shard is tied to the investigation, while the motorcycle is the final reward for completing the wider side job.
Items and collectibles
| Item | Status | How obtained |
|---|---|---|
| The Highwayman evidence shard | Mission item | Picked up beside Josie’s body after following the blood trail |
| ARCH Nazaré “Itsumade” | Side-job reward | Complete The Highwayman and access the later hidden garage |
| Standard random loot | Variable | May appear in ordinary containers or from incidental encounters, but no fixed station-exclusive list is established here |
Progression and version differences
Base release
In the original 2020 release, Metro: Glen North was principally a fast-travel location. The station entrance and surrounding streets existed as part of Night City’s environmental design, but the player did not have the later full metro-riding experience.
Update 2.1 and later
Update 2.1 added a functioning NCART system with 19 stations and multiple lines. Glen North became usable as a boarding station, not merely a destination on the fast-travel map. Guides covering this feature identify Glen North as part of the Heywood metro network.
Mission progression
The Highwayman is independent of the metro feature. It was present before Update 2.1 and can be completed whether the player treats Glen North as a fast-travel stop or as a functioning station. The quest’s important requirement is discovering and following the evidence, not riding a train to the location.
