Key takeaways

  • Metro Stadium is a fast-travel marker, not a rideable underground station. The station entrance is outside the stadium, on the Night City side of the Dogtown boundary.
  • The EBM Petrochem Stadium is in Dogtown, Pacifica, while the adjacent parking approach lies in Coastview. The two areas should not be treated as identical.
  • Dog Eat Dog uses the underground parking garage as V’s first route into Dogtown The entrance is restricted and can be approached stealthily or by force.
  • The stadium market is the main shopping centre in Dogtown It includes weapons, clothing, cyberware, medicine, food, netrunning services and junk vendors.
  • Herold Lowe’s black-market stock is progression-dependent He can sell certain missed Iconic weapons, but this does not replace quests that have not yet been completed or choices that permanently removed an item.
  • A Dogtown Restricted Data Terminal is hidden inside the market It is easiest to collect during or after the initial stadium visit.

About this guide

Scope: Cyberpunk 2077 with the Phantom Liberty expansion, including the wider EBM Petrochem Stadium complex and its immediately associated parking and border areas. The base game alone contains the map marker and surrounding pre-expansion space, but not the developed Dogtown market, its vendors or most of the explorable stadium interior. Spoiler warning: This guide discusses the opening of Phantom Liberty, the stadium route in Dog Eat Dog, the black-market vendors, Relic terminals and several optional activities.

Overview

Metro: Stadium is the fast-travel marker beside the EBM Petrochem Stadium, a ruined sports arena on the northern edge of Dogtown in Pacifica. The station itself is not a conventional explorable metro station. It is an NCART entrance and fast-travel point outside the stadium, while the major gameplay location is the arena and market beyond the Dogtown wall.

That distinction matters. “Metro: Stadium” is the map label, EBM Petrochem Stadium is the principal named location, and Stadium Parking and the Stadium Underground Parking are associated but functionally separate areas. Treating the whole site as one simple building loses the important differences between the public-side Coastview approach, the heavily guarded Dogtown gate, the underground smuggling route and the black market inside the arena.

The stadium is one of Dogtown’s main commercial and narrative hubs. It contains a large concentration of vendors, the Dogtown black market, several optional loot opportunities and an important route into the expansion during Dog Eat Dog. Its atmosphere also tells much of Dogtown’s story: a failed sports landmark has been converted into a militarised bazaar powered by the wreckage of a crashed aerozep.

Location and boundaries

Metro: Stadium

Metro: Stadium is the fast-travel point displayed on the Night City map. It is positioned west of the stadium proper, outside the main Dogtown market and near the approach through Coastview. The marker is useful for reaching the complex, but it does not represent a fully explorable station with platforms, ticketing areas or a working train route.

Cyberpunk 2077’s metro entrances generally function as fast-travel interfaces rather than complete transport hubs. The Stadium marker is therefore best understood as the public-side access point for the wider stadium complex, not as a separate dungeon beneath the arena.

EBM Petrochem Stadium

The EBM Petrochem Stadium, also known as the Nighthawks Stadium, is the large ruined arena inside Dogtown. It was originally planned as a sports venue for the Night City Nighthawks, but the project was abandoned before it could fulfil that purpose. Under Kurt Hansen and BARGHEST, the unfinished structure became a black-market centre and military-controlled commercial district.

Stadium Parking

Stadium Parking is the broad exterior parking area north of the arena. It sits on the Coastview side of the border and is heavily patrolled by BARGHEST. It includes a Dogtown gate and the nearby fast-travel access used when approaching the stadium from Night City.

This is not the same space as the underground garage used in the opening mission. The exterior parking lot is an approach and security area, while the underground garage is a separate restricted route beneath the stadium.

Stadium Underground Parking

The Stadium Underground Parking is a derelict multi-level car park beneath or beside the stadium. It was once intended to serve the sports complex, but by 2077 it is also used as an illicit smuggling route into and out of Dogtown.

The parking structure is the principal early-game interior associated with the stadium. Its numbered areas include parking sections marked from 1A through 9A and 1B through 8B, although these markings are environmental details rather than a conventional collectible or progression system.

How to reach the area

Before Phantom Liberty

In the base game, the Stadium fast-travel marker and the unfinished area around the future Dogtown boundary can be seen on the map, but the full Dogtown settlement and its functioning market are not available as part of the ordinary base-game progression.

Do not confuse the existence of the marker with access to the expansion content. The stadium’s developed vendors, Dogtown security structure and most associated activities belong to Phantom Liberty.

Starting Phantom Liberty

The normal route begins when Songbird contacts V during Act 2. The opening mission, Dog Eat Dog, directs V to the Dogtown border and then towards the stadium. The expansion can be started after the relevant main-story progression, commonly after completing Transmission, or from a new game configured to include the expansion’s starting option.

The first entry route

During Dog Eat Dog, the main entrance is not available as a simple public doorway. Songbird guides V towards the old parking complex instead.

The restricted section can be handled through stealth or combat. The mission awards experience and contains missable loot, including a perk shard, a BARGHEST helmet and a Cyberware Capacity Shard according to mission references.

The first entry route: The route is broadly

  1. 01
    Travel to the Dogtown border.
  2. 02
    Meet Songbird.
  3. 03
Follow her towards the stadium approach.
  4. 04
Find the entrance to the old parking garage.
  5. 05
    Enter the restricted area.
  6. 06
Move through the underground parking and maintenance sections.
  7. 07
Reach the interior route leading into Dogtown and the stadium market.

Navigation and suggested exploration route

For a first visit, the most efficient route is to treat the site as three linked loops rather than wandering randomly.

Route two: market and Restricted Data Terminal

The stadium Restricted Data Terminal is hidden in the market area rather than placed prominently beside the fast-travel point.

The terminal is particularly easy to collect during Dog Eat Dog, when the player is already being led through the stadium market for the first time. Restricted Data Terminals provide Relic-related progression in Phantom Liberty.

Route three: vendors and services

After collecting the terminal, make one complete circuit of the market. The vendors are spread through the concourse and are easy to miss if the player moves directly towards the mission objective.

Route one: fast-travel point to the market

  1. 01
Use Metro: Stadium or the nearby stadium fast-travel marker.
  2. 02
Follow the visible approach towards the arena and Dogtown gate.
  3. 03
Enter the stadium market once the relevant mission or access state allows it.
  4. 04
Walk through the central vendor area before buying anything. This reveals the locations of the black-market weapon shop, ripperdoc, clothing vendor and other services.
  5. 05
Activate the stadium’s available fast-travel access if it has not already been registered.

Route two: market and Restricted Data Terminal: A practical route is

  1. 01
Enter the market from the stadium side.
  2. 02
Continue past the rows of shops.
  3. 03
Go down the stairs towards the tank displayed on a raised podium.
  4. 04
Climb the stairs on the opposite side.
  5. 05
Look towards the footballer statues behind the vending machines.
  6. 06
Find the narrow opening in the scaffolding to the right.
  7. 07
Enter the gap and interact with the yellow Restricted Data Terminal.

Route three: vendors and services: Check, in order

  1. 01
    Herold Lowe’s black-market weapon stock.
  2. 02
    Sophia Dupont’s ordinary weapon shop.
  3. 03
    David Walker’s clothing stock.
  4. 04
    Eron Acedo’s ripperdoc services.
  5. 05
    Saki Seo’s medical supplies.
  6. 06
    Sammy Taylor’s netrunner services.
  7. 07
The food vendors and junk vendors.
  8. 08
Nearby ammunition crates and environmental loot.

Vendors and services

The stadium is one of the most useful vendor clusters in the game. Some stalls are fully functional shops, while others are named or visible NPCs with limited interaction. The following directory separates the verified named vendors from unnamed stalls.

Unnamed or generic services

The named list above is based on the stadium’s vendor directory. Environmental guides additionally identify a food stall near Sammy Taylor, medical supplies near Saki Seo, ammunition beside Herold Lowe and an unmarked noodle stall close to the Autofixer terminal. The unmarked food businesses should not be promoted to named shops simply because they are visually distinct.

Herold Lowe’s black market

Herold Lowe is the stadium’s most distinctive vendor. His stock can include Iconic weapons that V had an opportunity to obtain but failed to loot. The shop is therefore a recovery mechanism for some missed rewards rather than a source of every possible Iconic weapon.

Reported examples of possible stock include Order, Doom Doom, Problem Solver, Kongou, La Chingona Dorada, Plan B, Apparition, Death and Taxes, Lizzie, Widow Maker, Carmen, Bald Eagle and other Iconic weapons. The exact stock is conditional, so this list should be read as a catalogue of documented examples, not a guaranteed inventory for every save.

Practical advice: before buying a high-cost recovered weapon, check whether the item can still be obtained naturally through its original mission. Herold’s shop is most valuable after a quest has been completed and the player has confirmed that the intended weapon was missed.

Sophia Dupont

Sophia Dupont runs a standard weapon shop in the stadium market. Her service is separate from Herold Lowe’s black market. Do not assume that a weapon sold in the ordinary shop is part of the recovered-Iconic system.

Eron Acedo

Eron Acedo is the stadium ripperdoc. His presence makes the market a convenient resupply and build-adjustment point while exploring Dogtown. His shop is a functional service, unlike decorative medical or cyberware signage elsewhere in the arena.

David Walker

David Walker is the stadium clothing vendor. His shop is one of the Dogtown-specific clothing services and should be distinguished from background clothing advertisements and non-interactive stalls.

Saki Seo and Sammy Taylor

Saki Seo handles medical supplies, while Sammy Taylor provides netrunner-related services. They are useful for restocking between missions, particularly because the stadium is a safer and more concentrated shopping location than many outer Dogtown streets.

Residents, visitors and factions

BARGHEST

BARGHEST controls the stadium and the surrounding Dogtown security network. The faction patrols the exterior parking areas, operates checkpoints and maintains the market as a controlled commercial zone.

The lack of ordinary NCPD or corporate administration is a defining feature of the location. This does not mean the stadium is lawless in a gameplay sense. BARGHEST supplies the security, decides who may enter restricted spaces and protects the market’s commercial interests.

Kurt Hansen

Kurt Hansen is the ruler of Dogtown and the figure most closely associated with the stadium’s militarised redevelopment. He turned the abandoned arena into a profitable black market and used the wider site for BARGHEST operations.

The stadium is not merely a shop area. It is a visible expression of Hansen’s authority, combining trade, weapons production, military control and propaganda.

Market population

The market’s clientele is broader than Dogtown’s residents. Its reputation attracts corporations, influential Night City figures and other customers who want goods without ordinary regulatory oversight.

Landmarks and environmental storytelling

The Nighthawks statue

A statue of the Night City Nighthawks stands near the stadium entrance. Its plaque credits Anthony Davis and is dated 2065. The statue is one of the clearest reminders that the arena was intended to be a conventional sports landmark before the project collapsed.

Corsairs signage

The upper stands carry blue Corsairs markings. These signs reflect a later attempt to associate the unfinished venue with another team after the Nighthawks were disbanded. They also support the wider impression that the stadium was repeatedly repurposed before becoming Dogtown’s market.

The crashed aerozep

A large aerozep crashed into the stadium after being shot down by Hansen’s forces. Its atomic fission engine became the power source for the stadium and parts of surrounding Dogtown.

This is both a lore landmark and a practical explanation for the arena’s continuing operation. The stadium is not a functioning sports venue restored through ordinary utilities. Its power supply comes from military salvage and the wreckage embedded in the old arena.

Hansen Armory

The former Nighthawks Rehabilitation Center was converted into a factory associated with Hansen Armory. This is one of the clearest examples of the stadium’s original civic purpose being replaced by military production.

The armory should be treated as an industrial and mission-related part of the complex, not as an ordinary public shop. Access and available areas vary by mission state.

Missions and activities

Dog Eat Dog

Dog Eat Dog is the main mission associated with Metro: Stadium and the first major route into Dogtown.

The mission combines stealth, combat and environmental navigation. It is also the safest time to search carefully for early missable loot because the game naturally guides V through the parking structure and market.

Stadium market exploration

Once the market is open, the area functions as a persistent shopping and resupply hub rather than a single one-off mission space. Return visits are useful for:

Relic progression

The Restricted Data Terminal in the stadium contributes to Phantom Liberty’s Relic progression. It is a fixed placement, not a random encounter. The yellow terminal’s position in the scaffolding gap makes it easy to overlook during a fast mission run.

Loot and collectibles

Fixed and conditional content

The three Dog Eat Dog items should be collected during the opening infiltration rather than assumed to remain available indefinitely. The Perk Shard and Cyberware Capacity Shard are especially easy to miss if the player treats the parking route as a straight corridor.

Hazards and security

BARGHEST patrols

The exterior parking area and border route are guarded by BARGHEST. Expect patrols, controlled entrances and restricted areas rather than neutral public-space behaviour.

Restricted access

The main problem during Dog Eat Dog is not simply finding the stadium. It is entering a place whose normal routes are controlled. Songbird’s underground route exists because the obvious access points are unsuitable for V’s first entry.

Combat and stealth

Do not assume that every sealed door or inaccessible service corridor is a secret route. Some parts of the arena are mission-specific or decorative, and the available path changes according to the current objective.

Combat and stealth: The underground parking supports both approaches

Stealthuseful for conserving health and ammunition, especially before V has fully settled into the expansion’s combat encounters.
Combatstraightforward if V has a strong close-range or hacking build, but the confined parking lanes can make multiple guards and turrets more dangerous.

Lore and history

The stadium began as part of Pacifica’s planned transformation into the resort city of Serenisands. Construction involved several companies, including HFS, Zhirafa and Petrochem. The venue was intended to become the home of the Night City Nighthawks, but the team was disbanded before the stadium could properly open.

The Corsairs were later considered as a replacement, but the wider collapse of Pacifica and the Unification War left the project unfinished. The abandoned stadium eventually became part of Dogtown. Hansen’s forces then used the wreck of a downed aerozep to power the arena and converted it into a black market.

That history explains the unusual mixture of architecture visible in the area:

The stadium is therefore a miniature history of Dogtown itself. It was planned as a respectable corporate entertainment venue, abandoned by the city, seized by a warlord and repurposed into a profitable enclave beyond normal authority.
