About this guide

Scope: Base game Cyberpunk 2077. This guide covers the Red Dirt Bar venue and its immediate, verifiable connections. It does not treat the whole of Arroyo or Santo Domingo as part of the bar. Nearby streets, the fast-travel point and mission-related areas are identified separately where useful. Spoiler warning: The later sections discuss Kerry Eurodyne’s questline, the Samurai reunion and the reward from A Like Supreme.

Overview

Red Dirt is a rock bar in Arroyo, Santo Domingo, positioned at the junction of Farragut Street and Hargreaves Street. It is a small but unusually important location because its present-day role as a rough, blue-collar music venue is tied directly to Night City’s older rock history. The bar is remembered as the place where Samurai, Johnny Silverhand and Kerry Eurodyne’s band, played its first concert in the early 2000s.

For most of the game, Red Dirt is a compact explorable interior with a bar, stage, seating and background patrons. It has no large dungeon, vendor district or permanent combat encounter. Its main importance comes from A Like Supreme, a late-game side job in which V returns to the venue for Samurai’s reunion performance. The location also has a fast-travel terminal and ordinary bar services, making it useful as a landmark even when no quest is active.

Location and boundaries

Red Dirt belongs to the Arroyo sub-district of Santo Domingo, rather than being a separate neighbourhood or named district of its own. Its immediate location is defined by the intersection of Farragut Street and Hargreaves Street. The venue is recognisable from outside by its deep red neon sign and the worn, industrial character of the surrounding streets.

The bar itself is a relatively contained building. The relevant scope is:

The following should not be silently merged into Red Dirt:

A perk-shard guide identifies an Arroyo NCPD activity near Red Dirt and uses the Red Dirt fast-travel point as a navigation reference. That activity is nearby, but it is not a Red Dirt Bar subarea and should be treated as a separate location.

The venue

Red Dirt presents itself as a working-class music bar rather than an exclusive Night City club. Its interior uses dark surfaces, red lighting, posters and flyers, and a straightforward stage arrangement. The official Night City travel feature describes the location as a rougher alternative to the polished bars of City Center, with loud rock music, a ready stage and old gig material on the walls.

The venue’s design communicates two different time periods:

Red Dirt therefore works as a piece of environmental storytelling. It is not presented as a museum, but the bar’s ordinary décor has become part of Samurai mythology. The stage is especially important because it changes from background scenery into a quest space during A Like Supreme.

Services and interactable features

Red Dirt is a functional bar, although its services are limited compared with the larger quest hubs in Night City. Bars in Cyberpunk 2077 can sell consumable health items, and Red Dirt is included among the game’s bar locations. Its main practical purpose, however, is as a landmark, fast-travel destination and quest venue.

The bar’s staff also provide flavour dialogue. One conversation references Ribs à la Silverhand, a special dish supposedly associated with Samurai fans. The item is part of the bar’s storytelling, but it is not available as a distinct purchasable dish from the menu.

Do not confuse this with the Johnny Silverhand cocktail found in other parts of the game. Red Dirt’s named food reference is a separate piece of dialogue.

The 107.3 Morro Rock reference is associated with the bar’s rock-music identity. The venue’s soundtrack and signage reinforce that it is aimed at rock listeners rather than corpo nightlife.

Residents, visitors and ordinary NPCs

Red Dirt does not have a large permanent cast of named residents. Its everyday population consists primarily of an unnamed bartender, customers and music fans. These background NPCs establish the venue as an active local bar, but they are not individually documented as residents with personal questlines.

During A Like Supreme, the bar becomes a temporary meeting point for several named visitors. They are not permanent staff or ordinary residents. Their presence is tied to the Samurai reunion and the preceding Kerry questline.

Story-associated visitors

The exact group present during the reunion depends partly on earlier decisions in Second Conflict, particularly the choice involving Denny and Henry. The main reward and performance still proceed, but the dialogue and supporting band arrangement can differ.

Lore and historical significance

Red Dirt’s central piece of lore is its connection to Samurai. The band was founded by Johnny Silverhand and Kerry Eurodyne, with Nancy Hartley also involved in the group’s early history. According to the game’s associated lore, Samurai played its first gig at Red Dirt during the early 2000s.

The historical detail matters because Red Dirt is not simply a random bar selected for the reunion. It is a deliberate return to the band’s origins. Johnny’s association with the venue is also reflected in the bartender’s storytelling, including the exaggerated tale that the force of Samurai’s first performance blew out the bar’s windows. The bar’s supposed rule against serving naked customers is part of the same anecdotal tradition.

The venue’s significance is therefore both factual and mythologised:

Missions and activities

A Like Supreme

A Like Supreme is the defining Red Dirt side job. It follows Second Conflict in Kerry Eurodyne’s questline. After completing the preceding mission, V must wait for Nancy’s call before the reunion is arranged. The standard walkthrough requirement is to wait approximately 24 in-game hours for Nancy to contact V.

The job takes place at Red Dirt in the evening or at night. A commonly documented active window is approximately 20:00 to 08:00, although the quest marker and objective should take priority if the game behaves differently in a particular version or save.

Walkthrough

The concert itself is a controlled story sequence rather than a conventional combat or rhythm-game challenge. Timed prompts can add performance actions, but missing them does not turn the location into a combat encounter. The important outcome is the completion of the reunion performance and the follow-up conversation.

Rewards

The principal material reward is Archangel, Kerry’s iconic Overture revolver. Quest references list the reward as part of the completion of A Like Supreme, and walkthroughs confirm that Kerry gives V the weapon after the performance and the conversation at the bar.

The mission also advances Kerry’s personal questline. The next job, Rebel! Rebel!, becomes available after the appropriate wait and follow-up contact.

Choice involving Denny and Henry

The reunion depends on the outcome of the previous Kerry-related mission. Depending on the earlier decision, Denny or Henry participates in the performance arrangement, with Drausin also involved as a replacement musician. The choice changes dialogue and the people present, but it does not remove Red Dirt from the quest or normally prevent the Archangel reward.

Progression changes

Red Dirt has two important progression states.

Before A Like Supreme

The bar is a normal free-roam venue. The stage is present, customers occupy the interior and the location can be visited without starting the reunion. The bartender’s dialogue and the Samurai references provide most of the location’s narrative content.

During A Like Supreme

The interior becomes a staged quest set. Nancy, Kerry and the other musicians gather inside, Johnny guides V through the preparation sequence, and the stage becomes the centre of the mission.

This is not a permanent ownership or faction change. Red Dirt does not become a player property, gang hideout or new fast-travel hub after the concert. The major change is the completion of the story event and the reward.

After A Like Supreme

The reunion sequence ends, and the bar returns broadly to its normal free-roam state. Some players have reported lingering crowd or NPC-placement oddities after the quest, but these are best treated as possible implementation issues rather than canonical changes to the venue. No verified permanent faction takeover or new business service is established by the quest.

Access and navigation

From the map

Red Dirt is easiest to find by selecting its fast-travel terminal or quest marker in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. If travelling manually, use the red-lit bar at the Farragut Street and Hargreaves Street junction as the visual landmark.

For A Like Supreme

If the quest does not advance, check that:

For A Like Supreme: The most reliable route is

  6. 06
Enter the bar and speak to Nancy.

Nearby connections

Red Dirt is useful as a navigation point for nearby Arroyo activities, but nearby content should not be counted as part of the bar.

Nearby but separate

The nearby NCPD activity can be relevant to collectible hunting. A perk-shard guide places an Arroyo shard on a body at a garage during an NCPD mission close to Red Dirt and recommends using the Red Dirt fast-travel point to reach it. This is a nearby activity, not an interior Red Dirt collectible.

Items and collectibles

No fixed iconic weapon is permanently displayed in Red Dirt before the Kerry quest. The important item connected with the location is acquired through A Like Supreme, not found as ordinary bar loot.

Not confirmed as a collectible within the bar

The nearby Arroyo NCPD garage has its own collectible information, but it must remain separate from Red Dirt’s inventory.

Enemies, security and hazards

Red Dirt is not designed as a hostile combat location. It has no confirmed resident gang occupation, boss encounter or security checkpoint. During normal exploration, the primary hazards are external street activity and whatever random encounters happen elsewhere in Arroyo.

During A Like Supreme, the bar is a controlled social space. Weapons and combat systems are not the focus, and the mission’s main risks are progression-related, such as arriving at the wrong time or failing to trigger the next conversation.

Real-world and series inspirations

Red Dirt is an in-universe location within the wider Cyberpunk setting, but the available sources do not establish a specific real-world bar as its direct model. Its aesthetic instead fits the broader genre language of small rock venues: red neon, cheap drinks, posters, local regulars and a stage that matters more to the performers than to the city’s corporate elite.

Its strongest series connection is internal to Cyberpunk continuity. The venue’s importance comes from Samurai’s early history and from the game’s recurring interest in music as a form of rebellion, memory and identity. The official Cyberpunk 2077 travel feature specifically presents Red Dirt as a destination for fans of the grungier rock scene and identifies it as Samurai’s first-gig venue.
