Key takeaways

  • Location Konpeki Plaza is in the Arasaka Waterfront, Watson, beside Del Coronado Bay. It is not part of City Center’s Corporate Plaza, despite occasional confusion caused by promotional material and similar architecture.
  • Main activity Almost all legitimate access comes through “The Heist”, which begins with V and Jackie arriving by Delamain cab and posing as Militech representatives.
  • Important missables The heist contains Kongou, Satori, Nehan and the Iguana Egg. The first three are weapons; the egg is a later apartment collectible.
  • The hotel has a larger fictional layout than the playable mission map promotional material describes 80 floors, 420 rooms, 20 conference halls and extensive leisure facilities, but the game does not provide normal access to all of them.
  • Post-heist access is not a standard feature after “The Heist”, the hotel is treated as closed. Returning by clipping, vehicle positioning or other exploits is not the same as a supported exploration route.
  • The most useful exploration order is mission order lobby and bar, guest-suite floor, penthouse and roof, then the security route and garage escape.

About this guide

Scope: Cyberpunk 2077, base game location in Night City. This guide covers the hotel itself, its exterior grounds and the playable mission spaces connected to it. It does not treat the wider Arasaka Waterfront as part of Konpeki Plaza, and it separates the hotel’s fictional advertised facilities from areas that are actually explorable during normal play.

Overview

Konpeki Plaza is Night City’s most exclusive hotel, an Arasaka-owned luxury complex in the Arasaka Waterfront sub-district of Watson. In gameplay, it is best known as the principal setting of “The Heist”, the pivotal Act One main job in which V and Jackie Welles attempt to steal the Relic biochip from Yorinobu Arasaka’s penthouse. The job turns the hotel from a symbol of corporate privilege into the scene of Saburo Arasaka’s murder, a building-wide lockdown and the beginning of V’s central crisis.

Konpeki Plaza is not a normal open-world hotel with a freely accessible lobby, shops and public services. Most of its advertised amenities are lore and environmental detail. The playable version is a tightly controlled mission space containing the approach road, lobby, bar, guest-suite floors, security areas, Yorinobu’s penthouse, the roof and underground garage.

Canonical named location directory

Hotel and compound

The suite names and floor associations come from the hotel’s fictional layout, not necessarily from rooms that V can visit as separate, freely selectable destinations. The available description places the Lapis Lazuli Suite on floor 42, Tyger Eye on floor 43, Amazonite on floor 44, Sunstone on floor 45 and Mookaite plus the principal security room on floor 46.

---

Konpeki Plaza combines Japanese minimalism with wealthy corporate spectacle. Its interiors use marble, gilded wood and prominent artworks, while its glass-heavy exterior, twin towers and central atrium give it a deliberately monumental profile. The hotel’s presentation is built around controlled luxury: guests are screened on arrival, staff are heavily modified and discretion is treated as part of the service.

These details establish the intended scale and social function of the building, but they should not be read as a list of player-accessible facilities. There is no ordinary hotel booking system, leisure activity loop or shopping catalogue in the base game.

Advertised facility directory

The netpage also gives unusual employment requirements, including fluency in at least four languages, above-average looks, physical fitness and willingness to accept extensive fourth-generation cyberware. This is promotional world-building rather than a player-facing recruitment system.

Main arrival route

During “The Heist”, V and Jackie arrive at the hotel by Delamain cab. Before entering, V is required to stash weapons and present as part of the cover story involving a weapons sale. The hotel’s screening process then becomes the first practical obstacle: the pair must pass the security check, speak with reception and proceed into the public areas.

The exact dialogue can vary with V’s lifepath and choices, but the broad route is fixed.

Recommended arrival route

  1. 01
Complete the briefing with Dexter DeShawn.
  2. 02
Take the Flathead and travel to Konpeki Plaza.
  3. 03
    Stash weapons when prompted.
  4. 04
    Exit the Delamain.
  5. 05
    Follow Jackie towards the entrance.
  6. 06
    Speak with the guard.
  7. 07
    Stand in the scanner.
  8. 08
    Check in at reception.
  9. 09
Follow Jackie towards the hotel bar and lifts.

Lobby and reception

The lobby is the main public-facing space. It contains the security screening area, reception desks, elevators and access towards the bar. The reception zone is staffed by synthetic-looking hotel personnel and is designed to communicate that Konpeki Plaza is simultaneously welcoming and invasive.

During the initial visit, the hotel bar is an optional stop. Exploring it before following the main objective gives V additional environmental context and exposes a handful of named or recognisable guests.

Guest-suite route

The heist uses an elevator to reach the guest-suite floor, usually identified as the 42nd floor in the mission flow. V and Jackie reach their temporary room, where T-Bug begins directing the Flathead through the hotel’s systems.

The Flathead sections are mission-specific. They do not represent a freely usable hacking companion elsewhere in the hotel after the sequence ends. Power, Technical Ability and dialogue choices can alter some approaches in “The Heist”, but they do not turn Konpeki Plaza into an open-ended stealth sandbox.

---

Konpeki Plaza is not presented as a residential settlement. Its occupants are guests, hotel staff, security personnel and people temporarily connected to Yorinobu Arasaka’s stay.

The route then becomes a remote-infiltration puzzle

  1. 01
    Enter the assigned room.
  2. 02
    Talk with T-Bug.
  3. 03
Wait for the Flathead to breach the local system.
  4. 04
    Take the control shard.
  5. 05
    Connect to hotel CCTV.
  6. 06
    Scan for ventilation access.
  7. 07
Direct the Flathead through vents and service routes.
  8. 08
Use the hotel’s security infrastructure to reach the required room.
  9. 09
Enter the maintenance and service route leading towards Yorinobu’s penthouse.

Story-associated characters

Not all of these characters are physically present in the hotel for the entire sequence. Evelyn Parker is connected to the heist’s planning, Dexter commissions it and Goro Takemura arrives in the aftermath. Adam Smasher appears as part of the Arasaka response and may reappear if the player lingers in the penthouse for too long, where he can kill V immediately according to the quest documentation.

Story-associated characters

Visitors and notable guests

Hideyoshi Oshima is a particularly notable cameo. He resembles Hideo Kojima and can be found in the lounge area to the right of the bar. His presence is a cameo rather than a conventional quest role.

Xiaohan Ling is mentioned through the hotel’s promotional material as a Kang Tao board member who recently stayed at Konpeki Plaza. She is not a normal player-facing resident or required visitor during “The Heist”.

Visitors and notable guests

Hotel personnel and ordinary NPCs

The ordinary NPC population is primarily there to support the heist’s atmosphere and security response. They are not a persistent resident community with schedules and services comparable to Night City’s open districts.

---

Konpeki Plaza’s security is effectively an Arasaka-controlled private security operation. The hotel’s close relationship with Arasaka means that its security systems are not merely commercial surveillance. They are part of a corporate defensive network containing scanners, CCTV, access controls, armed guards, drones and netrunner support.

Security elements encountered in the mission

There is no normal NCPD patrol activity inside the hotel during the heist. The security response comes from Arasaka and hotel personnel. Once Yorinobu orders the building locked down, the hotel changes from a controlled hospitality environment into a combat escape route.

Practical stealth advice

The mission can be completed through combat, stealth and hybrid approaches. The route to the penthouse is more constrained than the escape route, and the Flathead’s scripted movement means that not every apparent door or corridor is an alternative player route.

---

Exterior compound

The exterior compound includes the entrance road, security gates, landscaped ground and the hotel’s bay-facing frontage. The road loops around the building, connecting the street-side arrival area with the main doors and the garage-side approach. The grounds are atmospheric rather than a separate open-world activity zone.

Lobby and reception

This is the hotel’s main public interior. It contains the arrival scanners, reception, elevators and access towards the bar. Several readable items and background conversations can be found here.

Hotel bar and lounge

The bar is an optional early exploration area during “The Heist”. It is where V can observe elite guests and encounter the hotel’s social atmosphere. The lounge also contains the Hideyoshi Oshima cameo.

The bar is not a purchasable food or drink business. It is a mission location with environmental interactions and optional dialogue.

Guest room and service routes

The assigned suite acts as V and Jackie’s temporary staging point. From here, T-Bug directs the Flathead through vents, cameras and security systems. The hotel’s service architecture becomes more visible than its luxury-facing public spaces.

Lapis Lazuli Suite and 42nd-floor suite area

The Lapis Lazuli Suite is associated with the 42nd floor and includes a bed, seating area, screen and bathroom in the hotel’s described layout. A Konpeki Plaza promotional shard can be found on a table in front of the terrarium inside this suite area.

Tavernier Suite

The Tavernier Suite is the hotel’s top-floor penthouse, occupied by Yorinobu Arasaka during the heist. It contains:

The penthouse is the narrative centre of the location. It is where the heist’s objective, the Arasaka succession conflict and the Relic plot intersect.

Rooftop AV landing area

The rooftop landing area contains Saburo Arasaka’s personal AV. This is the location of Satori, Saburo’s iconic katana, and his personal diary shard. During the heist, the player must reach the roof and search the AV before leaving if they want the weapon.

Security room and mainframe

The hotel’s described principal security room and mainframe are associated with the 46th floor. The mission also uses security rooms and CCTV access points as part of T-Bug’s remote infiltration. Not every named security area is presented as a separately labelled player destination, so the floor numbering should be treated as the hotel’s lore layout rather than a complete elevator map.

Underground parking

The underground car park is reached through the lobby elevator during the escape. It is the final major playable area of the hotel sequence, where V reaches the waiting Delamain and fights or evades pursuing drones before leaving the complex.

Missable weapons and memorabilia

Kongou is beside Yorinobu’s bed. Nehan is on Saburo’s body. Satori is inside Saburo’s AV on the roof. The Iguana Egg is near the adult iguana in the penthouse. These are the most important reasons to search rather than rush through the mission.

Weapon relationships

After the 2.0-era changes, Satori and Nehan have a linked bleeding and haemorrhage effect. Satori can inflict bleeding, while Nehan can exploit an enemy already affected by Satori’s bleeding to trigger haemorrhage and restore health. This relationship is useful, but it is not required to complete “The Heist”.

Konpeki Plaza promotional shards

Five copies of the readable Konpeki Plaza shard are documented within the hotel:

The final two entries belong to higher-numbered hotel areas described in the location’s broader internal layout, but they are not part of the ordinary, uninterrupted “The Heist” route. The shard advertises Konpeki’s 420 apartments, 20 conference rooms, 14 pools and luxury services.

Computer and messages

One accessible computer is documented in the location. Its messages mention:

These messages reinforce the hotel’s role as a meeting place for corporate and political elites, while also showing mundane maintenance work beneath the luxury branding.

Before entering

Finish any desired exploration and preparation before entering the Delamain cab for the hotel. Once the heist proceeds into its locked sequence, V cannot freely return to Night City until the job and its immediate aftermath are complete.

Recommended preparation

  1. 01
Upgrade or equip a reliable stealth weapon.
  2. 02
Carry a weapon suitable for close-range combat.
  3. 03
    Keep healing items available.
  4. 04
Consider using quickhacks against cameras and drones.
  5. 05
Make a manual save before accepting the hotel drive.
  6. 06
Enter with enough inventory space for the iconic weapons.

Inside the hotel

  1. 01

Direct the Flathead through vents and security areas.
  11. 11
    Reach Yorinobu’s penthouse.
  12. 12
Search the room before taking the Relic.

Penthouse checklist

Before leaving the penthouse, verify that you have:

When the story scene begins, Saburo arrives and is murdered by Yorinobu. The hotel then enters lockdown.

Roof and escape

Nehan should be collected from Saburo’s body before the escape sequence takes over. Because the body is part of a highly scripted scene, it is safest to loot it immediately after the murder rather than assuming there will be another opportunity.

Roof and escape: steps

  1. 01
Hide in the maintenance shaft when instructed.
  2. 02
Follow the escape route to the balcony.
  3. 03
    Exit through the window.
  4. 04
    Reach the roof.
  5. 05
Search Saburo’s AV for Satori and the diary shard.
  6. 06
    Descend towards the lift.
  7. 07
Deal with or avoid the guards.
  8. 08
    Reach the lobby.
  9. 09
Take the lift to the garage.
  10. 10
    Enter the Delamain.
  11. 11
    Survive the drone pursuit.
  12. 12
Leave the hotel and continue to the next mission stage.

Before “The Heist”

Konpeki Plaza is effectively inaccessible as a normal destination before the mission. The story introduces the player to the hotel through the planned heist rather than through free exploration.

During “The Heist”

These are mission states rather than reusable world states.

The hotel passes through several states

  1. 01
Controlled arrival: V and Jackie enter under a cover identity.
  2. 02
Covert infiltration: the Flathead and T-Bug bypass security.
  3. 03
Penthouse access: V reaches Yorinobu’s room and the Relic.
  4. 04
Lockdown: Saburo is killed and Yorinobu orders the hotel sealed.
  5. 05
Combat escape: Arasaka security pursues V through the hotel.
  6. 06
Garage departure: V reaches Delamain and escapes.

After “The Heist”

The location is closed indefinitely in the story’s account. Normal entrances are blocked and the game does not provide a standard post-heist hotel visit, room rental or vendor loop. Some players use exploits or collision tricks to return to the compound and recover missed items, but such methods are version-sensitive and should not be treated as canonical access routes.

---

Arasaka Corporation

Arasaka owns the hotel and controls its security. The heist exposes how closely the company’s hospitality, surveillance and executive power are connected.

Militech

Militech is not occupying the hotel during the mission. V and Jackie use Militech representatives as part of their cover story, and the hotel’s records mention Militech representatives visiting Hajime Taki. This is an association with the heist and hotel clientele, not a Militech-controlled subarea.

Voodoo Boys and Evelyn Parker

The Voodoo Boys and Evelyn Parker are connected to the Relic’s chain of ownership and the planning behind the theft, but they are not present as ordinary factions inside Konpeki Plaza during “The Heist”. Treating them as hotel occupants would blur the distinction between story background and on-site population.

Main enemies

Enemy placement varies with the mission stage. The opening is designed around evasion and infiltration; the lockdown creates the main combat phase.

---

Konpeki Plaza represents the corporate elite’s version of safety. Guests are promised discretion, luxury and personal service, but the building is also a controlled security apparatus. Every entrance is screened, every important room is monitored and the hotel’s most powerful guest can convert the entire building into a kill zone with a single order.

The location also compresses several major themes of Cyberpunk 2077:

The game’s own hotel description emphasises that rival corpos, politicians and entertainment figures can mix without surprise. The computer messages and guest references extend this idea: Konpeki Plaza is a neutral-looking meeting place where powerful people arrange business, conceal relationships and use discretion as a purchasable service.

Roof and garage

---

Is Konpeki Plaza in City Center?

No. In the base game’s location information, it is in the Arasaka Waterfront sub-district of Watson, beside Del Coronado Bay. Some promotional wording reportedly placed it in or near the city centre, but that conflicts with the game’s district and sub-district placement.

Can I visit the hotel whenever I want?

Not through normal supported gameplay. It is primarily a mission location. The post-heist hotel is closed, although players have historically used glitches and collision exploits to return. Those methods can change between patches and are not reliable progression routes.

The main items are

Is the hotel’s bar a real vendor?

No verified evidence shows a normal food, drink or service vendor operating there for free exploration. It is an optional mission area and social set piece.

Is the entire 80-floor hotel playable?

No. The 80-floor, 420-room description belongs to the hotel’s fictional scale and promotional material. The playable mission only exposes selected floors, rooms, lifts, service areas, roof spaces and the garage.

Can I get Satori and Nehan later?

The documented normal acquisition points are during “The Heist”. Later vendor recovery may exist for some iconic weapons in updated versions, but the safe and intended method is to collect Satori from the AV and Nehan from Saburo during the mission.

What happens if I stay in the penthouse?

The mission expects you to proceed with the escape. Quest documentation warns that lingering can cause Adam Smasher to reappear and kill V.
