About this guide

Scope: Cyberpunk 2077 base game, including the post-launch apartment and gameplay changes present in the standard game. Phantom Liberty and tabletop continuity are mentioned only where they help distinguish versions or explain the building’s background. Spoilers: This guide discusses the opening of Act 2, V’s apartment, Barry Lewis’s side job, Wilson’s shooting competition and the early main story.

Overview

Megabuilding H10 is V’s first permanent home and one of the most useful repeat-visit locations in Cyberpunk 2077. It stands in Little China, within Watson, on Ellison Street. The building is sometimes called “V’s Megabuilding” in the game’s database material, although H10 is a wider residential and commercial complex rather than merely V’s apartment block. Its accessible 2077 game area includes an entrance atrium, a service and market level, residential floors, a connected multi-storey garage and several mission-specific interiors.

H10 is important for more than its safehouse function. It contains a weapon shop, shooting range, fighting ring, food stalls, a fast-travel point, a drop point, several apartments and two of the game’s most easily missed early side activities. It is also a good example of Night City’s self-contained megabuildings: housing, food, recreation, commerce and minor public services are compressed into a single vertical neighbourhood.

Location and boundaries

Megabuilding H10 is in the eastern part of Little China. The building is close to the broader Watson road network and sits near the transition between the dense residential streets of Little China and the more industrial spaces towards Northside. It should not be treated as a synonym for Little China. Little China is the sub-district; H10 is one named complex within it.

The garage is visually and functionally attached to H10, but it is not simply another apartment floor. Its numbered levels are negative because the parking structure is arranged below or around street level. The available game layout lists levels -3, -2 and -1, with the first garage level providing the lift connection to floor 8 and exits to the surrounding streets.

Nearby connections

H10’s practical connections are mostly transport and navigation links rather than additional named interior districts.

Suggested first exploration route

For a clean first visit, enter through the main lobby and follow this order:

The location has three useful boundary layers

  1. 01
The megabuilding proper, containing the entrance, service level and apartments.
  2. 02
The attached garage structure, which has its own exterior entrances and a lift connecting to the building.
  3. 03
The surrounding street area, including Ellison Street, nearby roads, pedestrian routes and the H10 fast-travel stop.

Internal layout

The in-game H10 is much smaller than the large, self-contained megabuilding described in the wider Cyberpunk setting. Only selected floors and rooms are available to explore.

Garage levels -3 to -1

The garage is an attached parking structure rather than a fully open subterranean complex. It has:

The garage is also relevant to vehicle access and some mission navigation. Do not assume that a quest marker pointing “below” always means there is another underground apartment level. At times, the marker is referring to the connected garage geometry or a lower exterior route.

Floor 1: entrance

This is the most recognisable part of H10 from the opening chapters. It is also the level most often used when returning from the street without fast travel.

Floor 6

Floor 6 is largely non-public. It contains locked doors, small environmental spaces and minor loot. It is not a full commercial or residential hub, and there is no verified named business directory for this floor.

Floor 7: services and apartments

Floor 7 is H10’s most useful general-purpose level. It combines residential doors with practical services and recreational areas.

The floor is also where V can buy weapons early in the game, take part in the local boxing challenge and revisit Wilson for the shooting competition.

Floor 8: apartments and player facilities

V’s apartment begins as a modest personal base but becomes one of the central practical locations in the game. It contains the bed, wardrobe, bathroom, stash access and the apartment computer. Later apartment features, including access to EZEstates and other rentable apartments, are tied to the computer and the post-launch apartment system. CD Projekt Red’s apartment update specifically identifies V’s H10 computer as the route into EZEstates.

If V completes the relevant companion conditions, Nibbles and the iguana can also live in the apartment. These are progression-dependent additions rather than permanent features visible in every playthrough.

Floor 9

Floor 9 contains locked doors and minor loot. It is not presented as a fully explorable public floor, and there is no confirmed list of general shops or services operating there.

Services and businesses

2nd Amendment

2nd Amendment is Robert Wilson’s weapon shop on floor 7. It is the most important commercial service inside H10.

The shop is below V’s apartment and is easy to reach by taking the lift to floor 7. Its stock follows the game’s vendor system and should not be treated as a fixed permanent inventory in every playthrough.

Wilson’s shooting range

The shooting range is connected to 2nd Amendment and is used for Shoot to Thrill. This is a quest activity, not a freely available general shooting facility.

The contest allows V to score points by hitting targets across the range. It uses pistols, and the objective is to achieve the highest score within the time limit. The competition cannot be casually repeated after completion, so making a manual save before starting is sensible. Winning awards an Epic M-10AF Lexington and €$500 according to walkthrough documentation.

Fighting ring and Coach Fred

The fighting ring is a named gameplay area on floor 7. Coach Fred sells melee weapons and oversees the local training area. The ring is also used for the H10 stage of Beat on the Brat.

The Training Bot is associated with the ring. It is not a separate shop or named resident, but it is a distinct gameplay object worth recording because it explains the space’s function.

Food vendors and stalls

Food vendors are present in the entrance and service areas. The available evidence confirms food stalls, but it does not establish a complete canonical list of vendor names or prove that every visible stall has a purchasing interface. They should therefore be treated as environmental or partially functional services unless the game provides a direct interaction.

V’s apartment

V’s apartment is not a purchasable property in the normal sense. It is awarded by the story and remains V’s principal home. It provides:

The apartment is also the starting point for several conversations and the player’s most reliable return location in the early game.

Named directory

Residents

Anita and Mark are listed as former or associated residents in location references, but their presence and role are progression-dependent rather than equivalent to V’s permanent residence.

Visitors and story-associated characters

The last three are associated with main-story sequences involving V, but they are not ordinary permanent H10 residents.

Other pets and companions

These should be listed separately from human residents because their availability is determined by optional progression.

Building and transport

Residents

Visitors and story-associated characters

Residents and ordinary NPCs

H10 contains a mixture of residents, vendors, security-related personnel, quest characters and background civilians. Most are unnamed. The ordinary population is largely decorative or ambient and does not form a separately documented faction.

The named residents matter because H10’s missions use the building as a close-quarters neighbourhood rather than just a menu hub. Barry lives only one floor below V, making Happy Together feel like a neighbour intervention. Wilson and Coach Fred place commerce and combat training directly alongside the residential corridors.

There is no verified evidence that a named gang controls H10 in the 2077 game. References to gangs in broader H10 lore belong to other continuities or historical material and should not be projected onto the playable 2077 building without qualification. The 2045 references associate H10 with G3, but the 2077 game presentation does not establish G3 as a current local faction.

Missions and activities

The Rescue

The Rescue is an early main job that uses H10 as V and Jackie’s starting point. It establishes the building as V’s home base and sends the player out into Watson for the rescue operation.

Playing for Time

Playing for Time brings V back to H10 during the early Act 2 transition. After this stage, the building becomes a more stable free-roam base and several local activities become available.

Wilson’s call for Shoot to Thrill occurs after Playing for Time.

Happy Together

Happy Together begins outside Barry Lewis’s apartment, 0613, on floor 7. Nadia Petrova and Juan Mendez are outside the door, asking V to help with their neighbour.

The side job can fail if V handles the conversation without investigating Andrew’s resting place. Guides report that returning with the information about Andrew allows Mendez to help Barry, while the wrong approach can lead to the apartment being sealed and the quest failing.

Practical warning: Do not treat this as a normal “talk to the neighbour and leave” activity. The investigation outside H10 is the key condition for the better result.

Beat on the Brat

The H10 stage of Beat on the Brat takes place at the floor 7 fighting ring. Coach Fred introduces V to the local boxing challenge.

This is an unarmed combat activity, so preparation matters:

The ring is a combat venue, not a general enemy arena. Coach Fred’s presence and the Training Bot distinguish it from random street encounters.

The Gun

The Gun is associated with Wilson and H10. It concerns the weapon Dying Night, which Wilson can provide as part of the early weapon-related content. The exact availability and dialogue sequence depend on the player’s progress through the early game and interactions with Wilson.

Because the shop’s inventory and the quest’s weapon handling can vary with patches and progression, treat Wilson’s direct interaction as the authoritative trigger rather than assuming the gun is always available on the first visit.

Human Nature

Human Nature begins with V leaving H10 and using the nearby street and vehicle area. It is associated with V’s personal vehicle and the early Act 2 transition rather than being an interior H10 mission.

The building matters because it is V’s starting base and the point from which the vehicle sequence begins.

Shoot to Thrill

Shoot to Thrill becomes available after Playing for Time, when Wilson contacts V. The activity takes place in the range beside 2nd Amendment.

How to win

The contest’s design rewards target coverage and speed. A weapon with a large magazine is generally easier to use than a slow revolver, although the supplied pistol can also work.

First-place reward: Epic M-10AF Lexington and €$500.

NCPD activity and nearby street content

The wider streets around H10 can contain ordinary Watson activities, police events and random encounters. These belong to the surrounding Little China and Watson map rather than the building interior. They should not be counted as H10 missions unless the activity’s map location or objective explicitly places it inside the complex.

Recommended route for the positive outcome

  1. 01
Speak to the officers outside Barry’s apartment.
  2. 02
Talk to Barry and listen rather than forcing the conversation.
  3. 03
Leave the building and locate Andrew’s niche.
  4. 04
Inspect the niche and learn the truth about Andrew.
  5. 05
    Return to the officers.
  6. 06
Choose dialogue that explains that V visited Andrew’s grave or niche.
  7. 07
Allow the officers to approach Barry again.

How to win

  1. 01
Make a manual save before entering the contest.
  2. 02
Use a pistol with a large magazine or rapid firing capability.
  3. 03
Aim down the range and wait for Wilson’s start sequence.
  4. 04
Shoot targets in every lane, not just the lane directly in front of V.
  5. 05
Prioritise rapid hits over perfect accuracy.
  6. 06
Collect the reward from Wilson after the contest.

Items and collectibles

H10 contains minor loot in the locked or restricted floors, but the available evidence does not support a complete fixed-item catalogue for every container. Loot should therefore be divided into three categories:

A named shard is documented inside Barry’s apartment: The MaxTac Way, by Mathias Maddox. It is available during Happy Together, when the apartment can be entered.

The main item worth actively pursuing in H10 is the Epic M-10AF Lexington from Shoot to Thrill. If collecting weapons for V’s stash wall, check the current weapon version and quest reward state before assuming that any later copy is equivalent.

Security, hazards and secrets

H10 is not a hostile dungeon. There is no verified permanent enemy faction, boss encounter or combat checkpoint inside the publicly accessible building.

The garage and nearby streets can also expose V to ordinary traffic hazards, police responses and random combat, but these are not unique H10 security mechanics.

Lore and wider Cyberpunk continuity

H10 is presented in the broader Cyberpunk setting as a large residential megabuilding designed to function as a self-contained ecosystem. The database description refers to thousands of similar apartments, luxury penthouses, service points, markets, a gym and a shooting range. This explains why the 2077 game version combines housing, commerce and recreation in such a compact space.

The tabletop material describes a broader and more socially stratified H10. Lower residents occupy cleaner but cramped cube rooms, while higher floors contain progressively better apartments, including luxury suites with exclusive fitness facilities and private bars. The 2077 interior should not be read as a complete physical representation of every floor described in those books. It is a playable section of the much larger fictional complex.

These belong to the 2045 tabletop continuity and are not confirmed as accessible or present as named locations in the 2077 base-game interior. They should be kept separate from the game directory rather than treated as hidden shops in V’s building.
