About this guide

Scope: Cyberpunk 2077 base game, including the post-launch 2.x game state. Phantom Liberty and Dogtown are excluded except where they are useful for comparison. Spoiler warning: This guide discusses Kerry Eurodyne’s quest line, the Arasaka ending route, NCPD activities, and several late-game locations.

Overview

North Oak is a wealthy hilltop sub-district of Westbrook, in north-eastern Night City. It is not a separate district from Westbrook, and it should not be confused with Charter Hill or Japantown, the other two Westbrook sub-districts. North Oak is the least commercially busy part of Westbrook, but it contains some of the district’s most important late-game locations: Kerry Eurodyne’s villa, the North Oak Columbarium, the Arasaka Estate and the North Oak sign.

The area is deliberately deceptive. Its broad roads, villas, landscaped gardens and sparse pedestrian traffic make it feel safer than most of Night City, but North Oak still contains gang activity, NCPD Scanner Hustles, a major fixer gig and one of the base game’s late-story battlefields.

Geography and boundaries

North Oak occupies the northern, elevated portion of Westbrook. It is visually and functionally distinct from the denser urban streets of Japantown and the apartment-heavy slopes of Charter Hill.

The sub-district is built around a winding road network running through steep, landscaped terrain. Large private residences sit behind walls or driveways, while the roads climb towards memorial and corporate properties. The south and south-western approaches lead towards Charter Hill and Japantown. The north and eastern edges become more secluded, with the Columbarium and estate grounds occupying prominent high ground.

The in-game map does not present North Oak as a collection of formally named neighbourhoods. Instead, it is best understood as one sub-district containing several named sites and activity spaces. Some map and guide sources use “North Oaks” informally, but the in-game location name is North Oak.

North Oak’s boundaries are therefore practical rather than architectural:

North Oak should not be expanded to include every hill or road that appears near its map label. The following locations belong to neighbouring areas or broader Westbrook navigation rather than being independent North Oak subareas:

Westbrook is divided into Japantown, Charter Hill and North Oak, a structure reflected in the game’s district map and in location guides.

Character and atmosphere

North Oak represents the polished face of corporate Night City. The district’s wealth is expressed through space rather than crowds. It has private roads, mature planting, lawns, villas, gates, controlled entrances and large properties that would be impossible in the cramped central districts.

Its history is deliberately uncomfortable. According to the district’s database description, the hill was once occupied by a poor settlement formed after the destruction of Arasaka Tower. The city later cleared the settlement during a corporate-backed campaign against crime, after which the area was redeveloped into expensive real estate. North Oak’s manicured present therefore rests on a forced displacement and redevelopment history.

North Oak’s emptiness is part of its design. It is a residential and prestige district, not a shopping quarter. Do not expect a dense chain of usable shops or a conventional commercial centre.

Named location directory

The following names are verified locations associated with North Oak in the base game. They include functional sites, mission locations, scenery and properties that are not freely enterable.

Estates, residences and properties

Villa Eurodyne is Kerry Eurodyne’s hilltop home. It is the most important personal residence in North Oak and the area’s most heavily developed domestic location. The villa contains Kerry’s living spaces, recording and leisure areas, exterior gardens, a pool and various environmental details relating to his career and wealth.

Denny’s Mansion is associated with Denny, one of the musicians connected to Johnny Silverhand’s past. It is primarily encountered in the Johnny and Kerry storyline rather than as a general-purpose residence.

Arasaka Estate is an important late-game mission location. It is not a normal public building that V can freely enter from the beginning of the game. Its principal use occurs during Last Caress, the mission leading into the Arasaka route’s final operations.

Religious, memorial and cultural sites

The North Oak Columbarium is a large memorial complex containing niches for the dead. It is one of the area’s most distinctive landmarks and can be explored independently of the main story. The Columbarium also contains named memorials and environmental references that reward slow exploration rather than a quick visit.

The Columbarium has a fast-travel point and is involved in at least one NCPD Scanner activity. It can also be reached as part of the Delamain search in Epistrophy: North Oak.

Chram Denya Jinja is a shrine-like location and a visual reminder of the Japanese influence that remains strong across Westbrook. It is not equivalent to a ripperdoc, shop or purchasable property. Its importance is atmospheric and architectural.

The North Oak Sign is a large roadside landmark and a useful orientation point. It is also a fast-travel location and one of the easiest places from which to begin a district-wide sweep.

Commercial, industrial and hospitality locations

Impala Automatics is an automotive or industrial site used for an NCPD Scanner Hustle. It should not be treated as a player-accessible vehicle dealership merely because of its name. The property is principally relevant as a combat and loot location.

North Oak Casino & Country Club is visible in the wider game world and appears in location references, but it is not a normal, fully explorable casino activity in the base game. Players should distinguish the visible or named property from the separate casino-related material associated with other parts of Night City and from unused or inaccessible content.

Silver Pixel Cloud is a named North Oak location associated with the district’s technology-heavy, high-end aesthetic. It is not a general shopping hub, and the name alone should not be taken as evidence of a usable service.

Estates, residences and properties

Residents and story-associated characters

North Oak’s named residents are mostly celebrities, wealthy figures or people connected to late-game missions.

Residents and property owners

Kerry Eurodyne is the district’s most important resident. He lives at Villa Eurodyne and becomes central to Johnny’s personal storyline after V progresses through the relevant Johnny Silverhand side jobs.

Denny is connected to the Samurai reunion storyline and is associated with Denny’s Mansion.

Lizzy Wizzy is listed among North Oak’s notable residents, although her most important playable appearance is at the Riot Club in Charter Hill during Violence, not at a freely explorable North Oak home.

Richard Flint is associated with the district’s wealthier social world and is listed in North Oak’s notable-resident material, but he is not a major free-roam quest giver.

Visitors and mission characters

Several important characters visit North Oak without being ordinary residents:

Do not merge this visitor list with the resident directory. The Arasaka group’s presence at the estate is mission-specific, while Johnny and V visit several properties as part of side jobs.

Visitors and mission characters

Factions and security

North Oak does not have a single faction-controlled identity comparable to Pacifica or the Badlands. Its security is distributed across private residences, corporate properties and temporary criminal activity.

Tyger Claws

The Tyger Claws are the main gang associated with Westbrook and can be found in North Oak combat encounters. They appear in NCPD activities and in certain mission-related situations. Their presence should not be read as evidence that North Oak is a gang district in the same sense as Japantown.

Arasaka security

Arasaka security is concentrated around the Arasaka Estate and appears most substantially during the late-game mission route. The estate’s security layout is therefore progression-dependent. A quiet exterior during ordinary exploration should not be confused with the combat state used by Last Caress.

NCPD

NCPD activities are finite, location-based events. They are not endlessly recurring random missions. Scanner Hustles generally disappear from the map after completion and may provide weapons, clothing, crafting specifications, shards and ordinary loot.

---

Access, routes and fast travel

North Oak is accessible from the rest of Night City by road. There is no normal level gate preventing early physical entry after the open world becomes available, although enemies and mission states can make particular locations more dangerous or temporarily inaccessible.

Recommended entry points

From Charter Hill: Travel north along the rising roads. This is the most natural route if you are already completing Westbrook activities.

From Japantown: Use the main roads leading north and east. This route is useful when combining North Oak with Wakako’s gigs.

From the North Oak Sign: The sign is the best starting point for a general exploration loop. From there, move towards the Columbarium, then continue towards the estates and service compounds.

From the Columbarium: This is the most practical starting point for memorial exploration, the Delamain activity and the southern North Oak NCPD encounters.

Useful fast-travel points

Named fast-travel points associated with North Oak navigation include:

Some map interfaces and guide maps group nearby anchors differently, so the precise fast-travel label can vary by location and game version. The important distinction is that these anchors serve North Oak’s roads and landmarks, while Japantown and Charter Hill have their own separate networks.

Useful fast-travel points

Kerry Eurodyne’s storyline

North Oak is central to the Kerry branch of Johnny Silverhand’s side-story chain. The relevant progression begins with Johnny’s personal missions and eventually leads V to Kerry and his villa.

The first three missions develop Johnny’s relationship with the surviving members of Samurai. Later missions shift the focus towards Kerry’s career, frustrations and attempts to recover a sense of purpose. Kerry’s villa is especially important in the later stages.

Kerry’s romance route is conditional. The relationship is available only with a male body type and male voice V. Completing Boat Drinks can lead to the romantic outcome if the appropriate dialogue and choices are made. The quest chain must be advanced through Johnny’s side jobs rather than discovered simply by visiting North Oak.

Exploring Villa Eurodyne

When the villa is available during Kerry’s missions:

The villa contains more environmental storytelling than its small number of formal objectives suggests. Its value is primarily narrative and atmospheric rather than a large loot reward.

The chain includes

  1. 01
    Holdin’ On
  2. 02
    Second Conflict
  3. 03
    A Like Supreme
  4. 04
    Rebel! Rebel!
  5. 05
    I Don’t Wanna Hear It
  6. 06
    Off the Leash
  7. 07
    Boat Drinks

Exploring Villa Eurodyne

  1. 01
Search the exterior before rushing to the objective.
  2. 02
Examine Kerry’s living spaces and personal memorabilia.
  3. 03
Check the pool and garden areas for optional dialogue and environmental details.
  4. 04
Use the scanner to inspect objects connected to Kerry’s career.
  5. 05
Complete optional interactions before leaving if you want the fullest version of the scene.

Delamain: Epistrophy – North Oak

The North Oak branch of Epistrophy takes V to the Columbarium area while searching for a missing Delamain cab. The activity is part of the wider Delamain quest chain and becomes available after the initial Delamain-related setup.

The activity is not a conventional combat mission. It is easy to overlook if you are only following combat icons because the quest marker, rather than a yellow gig marker, directs the player.

The basic procedure is

  1. 01
Travel to the North Oak search area.
  2. 02
Use the marked zone and scanner to locate the cab.
  3. 03
    Approach without provoking it.
  4. 04
    Follow the cab as instructed.
  5. 05
Complete the conversation and return to the wider Epistrophy objective.

Gigs

Family Heirloom is associated with Rogue rather than Wakako, despite taking place in Westbrook. It becomes available after completing the required earlier gig progression. Sources commonly place it at the Drive-In Theater area of North Oak.

Because fixer progression can be misunderstood, use the following rules:

North Oak contains one of Westbrook’s gigs

NCPD Scanner Hustles

North Oak contains a small but worthwhile group of NCPD activities. The independently listed activities include:

Suspected Organised Crime Activity

This activity takes place around Impala Automatics. It involves clearing a fortified criminal site and searching the location for rewards. Reported rewards include:

The Headsman crafting specification is particularly useful for players collecting iconic weapon recipes. The activity also rewards ordinary enemy loot and site containers.

Reported Crimes

Crash Test begins near the southern part of North Oak, close to the Columbarium approach. It starts at an overturned vehicle and develops into a short investigation leading to a Tyger Claw stash. A HJKE-11 Yukimura can be found during the activity.

Table Scraps leads to Jalapeño Joe’s hideout and rewards a Tacti-Fiber Racerback Tank Top from a cache. The activity’s name and location can make it seem like a generic gang encounter, but it is a separate finite Scanner Hustle.

Assault in Progress

This activity is a short combat encounter. A D5 Copperhead and an EMP grenade are among the reported rewards. As with other Scanner Hustles, exact enemy loot can vary according to level scaling and the current game version.

Hidden Gem

The North Oak hidden gem is associated with a delivery drone and can provide an Epic Engineering skill shard. Hidden Gems are easy to miss because they may not be part of the main activity route and can require careful scanning of the area.

Suspected Organised Crime Activity

Arasaka Estate and the endgame

The Arasaka Estate is North Oak’s most important progression-gated location. In ordinary exploration, it is best treated as a secured, mission-only property. Its major playable appearance occurs during Last Caress, which follows the Arasaka choice in Nocturne OP55N1.

Spoiler: access conditions

To reach the estate as part of the story:

The estate contains combat encounters, security systems, optional loot and mission-specific routes. Its layout is therefore not representative of the quiet free-roam North Oak seen before the ending route.

Do not claim that the estate can be fully cleared or freely revisited in the same way as an ordinary open-world building. Its principal interior access is tied to the mission state.

---

Spoiler: access conditionsSpoilers

  1. 01
Progress through the main story until Nocturne OP55N1.
  2. 02
Choose to accept Hanako Arasaka’s help.
  3. 03
Follow the resulting sequence after the point-of-no-return setup.
  4. 04
Enter the estate during Last Caress.
  5. 05
Search the compound while following the objective to find Hanako.
  6. 06
Continue through the estate and into the Arasaka operation.

Collectibles, loot and missable content

North Oak is not one of the game’s densest collectible districts, but several rewards are easy to overlook.

Missability

Most North Oak NCPD rewards can be collected at any time after the activity appears, but they are tied to finite events. Complete the activity before leaving if you want its named reward.

There is no reliable basis for treating every decorative object in North Oak as a collectible. Background props, inaccessible villas and visible casino architecture should not be listed as obtainable content without a verified interaction.

Lore and inspiration

North Oak is a visual expression of Night City’s class structure. Its large properties and controlled greenery contrast with the dense, improvised and commercially saturated districts below. The area’s history also reflects a recurring Cyberpunk theme: corporate redevelopment is presented as civic improvement, while the people displaced by that improvement disappear from the finished landscape.

The district’s shrine, villas and Japanese-influenced architecture connect it to Westbrook’s broader cultural identity. Its high-end residential design also recalls the affluent hills and private estates of real-world Californian cities, but North Oak is not a direct one-to-one recreation of a single neighbourhood. Its fictional identity is built from several recognisable elements: gated hillside housing, celebrity compounds, corporate security, memorial architecture and luxury development.

North Oak also appears in the wider Cyberpunk setting beyond the 2077 video game. However, the 2020 tabletop continuity should be kept separate from the 2077 game version. Names, maps and institutional histories do not always carry over exactly between editions.
