Key takeaways

  • Location Arasaka Estate is in North Oak, Westbrook, not in Corporate Plaza, Arasaka Waterfront or the Arasaka Tower complex.
  • Main purpose It is the residence of the Arasaka family when they are staying in Night City, and a late-game mission site.
  • Primary quest The estate is visited during Last Caress, after V chooses Hanako’s help during Nocturne Op55N1.
  • Security The estate is defended by elite Arasaka personnel, including a named Special Agent and a netrunner during the mission encounter. Some walkthroughs identify four elite guards in the estate’s combat area.
  • Notable reward The iconic smart pistol Genjiroh can be collected from the estate during Last Caress. Its alternate known location is the sniper nest in Play It Safe.
  • Do not confuse it with the Arasaka Family Compound outside Tokyo, Arasaka Tower in Corporate Plaza, or Yorinobu’s penthouse in Konpeki Plaza.

About this guide

Scope: Cyberpunk 2077 base game, including the main-game ending route that visits the estate. Phantom Liberty is not required. Spoiler warning: This guide discusses Last Caress, the Arasaka ending route, Hanako Arasaka, the estate’s security forces and an iconic weapon found inside.

Overview

The Arasaka Estate is a heavily fortified Arasaka family residence in North Oak, the wealthy northern sub-district of Westbrook. It is not a broad district or a collection of unrelated corporate buildings. In Cyberpunk 2077, the name refers specifically to the secluded estate, its grounds, the main residence and the security installations immediately surrounding it.

The estate is primarily a mission location rather than a conventional open-world dungeon. Its main playable appearance is during Last Caress, the first main job on the Arasaka route leading towards The Devil ending. During that mission, V infiltrates the estate to rescue Hanako Arasaka, fights through its guards and leaves aboard an AV for Arasaka Tower. The estate also has a fast-travel dataterm named Arasaka Estate, although the presence of a map marker should not be confused with unrestricted access to every part of the location.

District and sub-district

North Oak is the elevated, affluent part of Westbrook. It contains large private residences, landscaped roads and secluded properties rather than the dense commercial streets found in Japantown or Kabuki. The estate sits within this residential landscape, but it should not be treated as synonymous with the whole of North Oak.

The district-level boundary is important because several other recognisable locations are nearby but are not parts of the estate. The estate does not include North Oak’s other residences, the North Oak sign and surrounding public roads, or unrelated Westbrook properties.

Neighbouring or separate locations

The Arasaka Estate and Arasaka Tower are therefore connected by faction and story, but not by geography. Arasaka Tower is the North American headquarters in Corporate Plaza, City Center, while the estate is a private residence in Westbrook.

---

The game does not present the estate as a large named neighbourhood with many individually labelled buildings. Its useful internal hierarchy is best understood as a sequence of functional spaces.

The Arasaka Estate belongs to

  1. 01
    Night City
  2. 02
    Westbrook
  3. 03
    North Oak
  4. 04
    Arasaka Estate

1. Estate approach and perimeter

The approach consists of the road and guarded outer grounds leading towards the residence. During Last Caress, this is where V first encounters the estate’s security presence.

The perimeter is not an ordinary public checkpoint. It is a private corporate security zone, and the hostile response is tied to the mission state rather than to a permanent open-world police event. Treat the entrance as the beginning of a combat or stealth section, not as a normal North Oak visit.

2. Main residence

The main building is the centre of the estate. Its architectural language combines modern construction with Japanese furniture, art and interior styling. In gameplay terms, the residence contains the route towards Hanako and several rooms that can be searched for loot.

The residence is the part most players mean when they refer to “the mansion”, “the manor” or “the estate house”. These descriptions are aliases for the same Arasaka property, not separate locations.

3. Garden and pool grounds

The grounds include landscaped outdoor space and a pool. During the mission, these areas form part of the estate’s open security layout and provide approaches, sightlines and cover.

The pool and garden are not businesses, recreational facilities or purchasable properties. They are private estate amenities.

4. AV landing area

The estate has an AV landing area. In Last Caress, this becomes the extraction point after V reaches Hanako and completes the estate section. The AV is a mission transport vehicle, not a player-owned aircraft or a normal fast-travel service.

5. Netrunner or server area

A netrunner-related security area is situated outside the main residence. It is one of the estate’s most important optional areas because it is associated with the mission’s security network and the placement of Genjiroh.

Players should search the server or netrunner section before leaving. The item is easy to miss if the player follows the objective marker directly towards the extraction point.

Normal open-world access

The Arasaka Estate has a fast-travel dataterm, but the existence of that dataterm does not mean that the estate functions like a normal freely explorable interior at every point in the story. The principal intended playable access is through Last Caress.

Community maps identify an Arasaka Estate fast-travel point in North Oak, separate from the general North Oak fast-travel point.

Reports of entering the property early through glitches, collision exploits or unusual movement should be kept separate from the intended base-game route. They are not reliable evidence that the full estate is designed as a permanently accessible open-world interior.

If approaching during ordinary free roam

  1. 01
Travel to North Oak in Westbrook.
  2. 02
Use the road network to reach the estate’s fast-travel area.
  3. 03
Expect the exterior marker to be more reliable than the interior access.
  4. 04
Do not assume that a locked door, blocked entrance or inactive interior is a bug. Much of the location is controlled by mission progression.

Intended mission route: Last Caress

The intended route is unlocked late in the main story.

Requirements

The Arasaka ending path is selected after the rooftop decision in Nocturne Op55N1. Saving Takemura earlier in the story affects the wider Devil-ending outcome and achievement conditions, but it is not an additional route through the estate itself.

---

The estate is not protected like a normal North Oak home. It is an Arasaka family facility and uses a concentrated elite security presence.

The location’s supplementary description refers to elite Arasaka agents and an ACPA. The game mission itself presents a smaller, encounter-focused force rather than a simulation of the full security establishment described in background material. This distinction matters: the lore establishes the estate as heavily guarded, while the playable mission presents the guards required for the set-piece.

Verified mission security roles

A mission guide specifically describes four elite guards in the estate encounter and separates them from the Special Agent and netrunner. Exact enemy numbers can vary in practical play depending on detection, combat flow and how the encounter is approached, so the four-guard description should be understood as a guide’s encounter mapping rather than a universal count for every gameplay state.

Stealth considerations

The estate can be approached stealthily, although the mission’s layout is also designed to support direct combat.

There is no verified civilian market, security-office service or neutral checkpoint inside the estate. Its personnel are story security, not vendors or ordinary North Oak residents.

---

Residents and story-associated characters

The estate is connected to the Arasaka family, but the game does not present a permanent household roster of freely interacting residents.

Hanako Arasaka

Hanako is the key story character at the estate during Last Caress. In this route, she is being held under house arrest by Yorinobu and must be rescued. The estate’s mission purpose is therefore not simply to raid an Arasaka home. It is to extract a member of the family from an internal corporate power struggle.

Arasaka family

The property is described as a temporary Night City residence for the Arasaka family when they visit the city. This does not mean that every major Arasaka character is present during the playable mission. In particular, the estate should not be conflated with the Tokyo family compound or with Yorinobu’s penthouse at Konpeki Plaza.

Ordinary NPCs

No verified civilian population, household staff directory or ordinary named residents has been established for the Cyberpunk 2077 estate itself. Background descriptions of the property’s amenities should not be expanded into an invented list of servants, chefs, guards or family members.

---

Genjiroh

The most important verified collectible is Genjiroh, an iconic smart pistol.

During Last Caress, Genjiroh can be found in the estate’s server-room or netrunner-related area. It is not necessarily on the direct route to Hanako, so search the side section before leaving. The same iconic weapon is associated with the sniper nest during Play It Safe, giving players another opportunity to obtain it if they missed the estate placement.

Acquisition checklist

Because the alternate Play It Safe location exists, missing the estate copy does not necessarily make the weapon permanently unobtainable. However, players pursuing a complete mission loot sweep should collect it during Last Caress.

Acquisition checklist

  1. 01
Enter the estate during Last Caress.
  2. 02
Progress through the first security section.
  3. 03
Search the server or netrunner area rather than following the objective marker immediately.
  4. 04
Look for the weapon container or loot location in that room.
  5. 05
Pick up Genjiroh before completing the extraction objective.

Other loot

The estate contains ordinary mission loot and weapons dropped by Arasaka security. These should be treated as variable combat loot rather than a fixed collectible directory unless a specific item is independently verified.

There is no verified estate shop, armoury service, ripperdoc, food vendor, clothing store or purchasable property.

---

Mission role

Last Caress is the first main job of the Arasaka ending route. Its opening section takes V to the estate, where the objective is to locate and rescue Hanako. Once the estate operation is complete, V travels to Arasaka Tower, leading into Totalimmortal.

Estate walkthrough

1. Prepare before entering

This is an endgame mission, so bring a build that can handle elite corporate security. Stock healing items, check ammunition and consider making a manual save before entering the property.

2. Clear or bypass the outer security

Move through the estate approach. You can attempt to remain undetected or fight through the guards. Avoid rushing directly across open ground, since the estate’s security layout is designed to expose careless movement.

3. Search the optional side area

Before committing to the final objective, investigate the server or netrunner section. This is the critical loot detour for Genjiroh.

4. Enter the residence

Continue into the main building. Search rooms as you move, but keep the mission objective in mind. The residence’s decorative rooms and Japanese-inspired furnishings are part of the environmental storytelling, while the security presence reinforces that this is a corporate family stronghold rather than an ordinary luxury home.

5. Find Hanako

Reach Hanako and complete the rescue sequence. The estate’s narrative function becomes clear here: the mission is an internal Arasaka intervention, with V acting on Hanako’s request against the power structure controlled by Yorinobu.

6. Reach the AV

Once the estate section is complete, follow the objective to the landing area and board the AV. This ends the estate operation and moves the story towards Arasaka Tower.

Missable content

The most important potentially missable estate content is Genjiroh, because it is located away from the most direct objective route. The mission’s transition to the AV also means that players should finish searching before boarding.

The estate itself is late-game content. If you are trying to complete a collection run, do not treat Last Caress as a routine travel mission. Make the manual save before entering and search the optional rooms before extraction.

Verified named places within scope

Estate proper

Some of these names are descriptive functional labels rather than formal in-game map labels. They are retained because they distinguish the estate’s internal areas without pretending that every room has a canonical title.

Estate proper

Nearby but separate

Businesses and services

No verified functional businesses or player services are located within the Arasaka Estate.

The AV landing area is a mission facility, not a player service. Likewise, the fast-travel dataterm should not be described as an estate transport business.

---

The estate reflects Arasaka’s dual identity. It is both a private home and a security installation. Its Japanese-style furnishings, garden and pool communicate dynastic wealth and family tradition, while the elite guards, netrunner security and AV infrastructure show that the family cannot separate domestic life from corporate power.

This is different from the Arasaka Family Compound outside Tokyo. That compound belongs to the wider Cyberpunk setting and is described as a much older family stronghold near Tokyo, with its own historical and defensive traditions. It is not the North Oak estate in Cyberpunk 2077.

Keeping these locations separate prevents a common continuity error: treating all Arasaka buildings as one connected complex.

---

For a completionist run, use the estate fast-travel marker later only as a geographic reference. The important fixed content is tied to the mission state, not to an expansive repeatable activity loop.

---

For a first visit during Last Caress

  1. 01
Make a manual save before entering the estate.
  2. 02
    Approach the perimeter carefully.
  3. 03
Clear or bypass the first guards.
  4. 04
Search side rooms and exterior structures before advancing.
  5. 05
Prioritise the server or netrunner area.
  6. 06
    Collect Genjiroh.
  7. 07
Continue through the residence to Hanako.
  8. 08
Loot remaining rooms only after the combat area is safe.
  9. 09
    Board the AV when ready.
  10. 10
Do not expect to return to the estate as part of the same mission after extraction.

Is Arasaka Estate in North Oak or Corporate Plaza?

North Oak, Westbrook. Corporate Plaza contains Arasaka Tower, which is a separate location.

Is the Arasaka Estate the same place as Yorinobu’s penthouse?

No. Yorinobu’s penthouse is in Konpeki Plaza in the Arasaka Waterfront area of Watson. The estate is a separate Arasaka residence in North Oak.

Can I visit the estate before the ending?

The game provides an Arasaka Estate fast-travel point, and players may encounter routes or access states outside the main mission. However, the fully developed intended visit is during Last Caress. Unintended early-entry methods and glitches should not be treated as the normal location route.

Who lives at the estate?

The estate is described as a temporary Night City residence for the Arasaka family. During Last Caress, Hanako is the central resident and mission objective. The game does not provide a complete permanent household roster.

Is there a shop or ripperdoc inside?

No verified shop, ripperdoc, weapon vendor or other player service exists inside the estate.

What is worth collecting there?

The main verified fixed collectible is Genjiroh, an iconic smart pistol in the server or netrunner area during Last Caress.

Does saving Takemura change the estate?

Saving Takemura affects the wider Arasaka ending and the related achievement conditions, but the estate’s basic mission structure remains the rescue operation during Last Caress.

The estate’s available documentation mixes in-game mission information, community maps, walkthroughs and broader Cyberpunk reference material. The broad location, district placement, mission association, fast-travel point and Genjiroh placement are consistently supported. The following details remain less firmly documented for the base game:

Accordingly, this guide distinguishes formal location information from descriptive subarea labels and does not claim that the estate has more services, residents or collectibles than the available evidence supports.
