Key takeaways
- Skyline & Republic is a fast-travel point in Downtown, City Center, not a separate district or neighbourhood.
- Its most useful permanent service is Darius Clarke’s Downtown ripperdoc clinic, located on the western side of the road from the dataterm.
- The surrounding streets are mainly a high-rise corporate and commercial zone with roads, pedestrian routes, waterfront infrastructure and background businesses rather than a large collection of named activities.
- The area becomes important in Phantom Liberty’s Run This Town, where V meets Bennett near the Skyline & Republic marker and later visits a nearby garage.
- A fixed clothing pickup, Puncture-resistant rocker ankle boots, can be found in a small corridor reached from the fast-travel point.
- The immediate area is useful as a base for Downtown exploration, but many missions listed under “Downtown” occur elsewhere in the sub-district and should not automatically be attributed to Skyline & Republic.
About this guide
Scope note: This guide treats Skyline & Republic as the named fast-travel location and its immediately surrounding streets, waterfront approaches, clinics, garages and mission spaces. It does not treat the whole of Downtown as part of Skyline & Republic. Downtown is a sub-district of City Center, and the other Downtown fast-travel points, such as Gold Beach Marina, Corporation St, Downtown Central and Berkeley & Bruce Skiv, are neighbouring locations rather than subareas of Skyline & Republic.
Overview
Game and continuity: Cyberpunk 2077, base game map. The area is also used by Phantom Liberty content, particularly the Downtown meeting point in Run This Town. This guide includes those scenes but marks expansion-dependent content clearly.

Overview
Skyline & Republic sits in Downtown, the northern part of City Center. In the game’s map hierarchy, City Center contains the sub-districts Corpo Plaza and Downtown. Skyline & Republic belongs to Downtown, alongside other fast-travel points including Downtown North, Downtown Central, Corporation St, Gold Beach Marina, Halsey & MLK, Metro: Republic Way, Metro: Downtown – Alexander St and Berkeley & Bruce Skiv.
The name refers to the road junction and transit marker rather than a separately labelled neighbourhood with its own map boundary. The location is therefore best understood as a local landmark and navigation point inside Downtown. The road network is more important than any single building. It connects the dense central streets with the wider City Center road system, while pedestrian paths and stairways lead down towards lower commercial and waterfront spaces.
Skyline & Republic is not a quest hub on the scale of Kabuki Market, Afterlife or the EBM Petrochem Stadium. Much of its content is environmental: traffic, pedestrians, towers, service entrances, small shops and background architecture. Its importance comes from three things:
Named entries within the immediate scope
The list above is deliberately conservative. Downtown contains many named locations and activities, but available area guides do not demonstrate that every Downtown entry belongs to the immediate Skyline & Republic surroundings.

Overview: steps
- 01It is a convenient fast-travel anchor for Downtown.
- 02It places V near Darius Clarke’s ripperdoc clinic.
- 03It becomes a story location during the Phantom Liberty side mission Run This Town.
Geography and boundaries
What belongs to Skyline & Republic
This is a functional guide boundary rather than an official in-game polygon. Cyberpunk 2077 does not provide a separate map label for a larger “Skyline & Republic district”.
What should remain separate
Do not fold the following into Skyline & Republic merely because they are also in Downtown:
These are separate fast-travel or map locations within the same sub-district.
Likewise, Corpo Plaza is part of City Center but is a different sub-district. Arasaka Tower, Memorial Park, Ring Road and the Corpo Plaza Apartment should not be listed as Skyline & Republic locations.

Access and routes
Fast travel
Skyline & Republic is available through its street-side fast-travel dataterm once V has discovered it. As with other dataterms, approach the marker in person first. After activation, it can be selected from the map or the fast-travel interface. It is listed under City Center → Downtown in fast-travel directories.
Driving in
The name is also useful when navigating by car or motorbike. The road is a major urban route, with traffic and several vertical changes between the main road and lower pedestrian or service levels. If you are approaching a mission marker, do not assume that the objective is at street level. Check for:
Walking from the dataterm
The clinic is close enough to be treated as the principal service attached to this fast-travel point. A separate location guide places the clinic on the western side of the road from Skyline & Republic.
Suggested first visit route
This route combines the permanent service, the fixed clothing pickup and the expansion-dependent content without confusing neighbouring areas.
---
Walking from the dataterm: For the ripperdoc
- 01Activate or face the Skyline & Republic dataterm.
- 02Look towards the western side of the road.
- 03Follow the nearby commercial frontage and clinic signage.
- 04Enter Darius Clarke’s clinic, identified as Doc Ryder.
Suggested first visit route: For a first-time visit, use this order
- 01Activate the dataterm.
- 02Visit Darius Clarke and check cyberware stock.
- 03Walk the lower paths and service entrances around the junction.
- 04Search the small corridor to the east and north for the fixed rocker boots.
- 05If Run This Town is active, follow the mission marker rather than exploring the garage area early.
- 06Return to the dataterm before moving on to another Downtown marker.
Darius Clarke and Doc Ryder
The principal functional location near Skyline & Republic is Darius Clarke’s ripperdoc clinic, known as Doc Ryder. Darius is a named ripperdoc who works in Downtown and is listed as the operator of the clinic. His biography identifies him as a former Pacifica ripperdoc who was working in Downtown by 2077.
The exact inventory is not permanently identical across all versions and progression states. Cyberware availability may depend on V’s level, game version and the post-2.0 tier system. Do not treat an item seen in one inventory list as guaranteed at every point in the game.
Darius is also useful because guides have specifically identified the Downtown clinic as a source for cyberware such as Feen-X and Cogito Lattice, although stock can vary and may require time to pass before the vendor refreshes.
Practical advice
Visit the clinic after a major level increase or when you have changed build direction. A stealth netrunner, Sandevistan melee build and heavy weapons character may all find different parts of the stock useful. If a desired implant is not present, check the vendor again after progressing or refreshing the shop rather than assuming it is permanently unavailable.

Clothing and fixed loot
Puncture-resistant rocker ankle boots
A fixed clothing pickup, Puncture-resistant rocker ankle boots, is associated with Skyline & Republic. The reported route begins at the fast-travel point:
The item belongs to the rocker clothing set and is a fixed-location find rather than an ordinary shop purchase.
The item’s armour, rarity or mod-slot details can vary with the game’s loot-scaling rules and version. The important point for completionists is the location, not a guaranteed displayed stat line.
Loot directory
No evidence found for a guaranteed iconic weapon, cyberware shard or skill shard at the fast-travel point itself. The area does contain mission-dependent and environmental loot, but those entries should not be presented as permanent local collectibles without confirming their exact trigger and location.
---
Puncture-resistant rocker ankle boots
- 01Start at the Skyline & Republic dataterm.
- 02Travel east, then turn north.
- 03At the end of the path, turn left into a small corridor.
- 04Search the corridor for the clothing pickup.
About this guide
Major spoiler warning for Phantom Liberty.
Run This Town and progression changes
Skyline & Republic becomes significantly more important during Run This Town, a Phantom Liberty side mission concerning the succession crisis in Dogtown after Kurt Hansen’s death.
A mission guide places the meeting with Bennett near the Skyline & Republic marker. V is directed to a nearby garage, where Aguilar’s imprint is activated before the later meeting associated with Hansen’s wake.
The garage is not simply a freely available permanent shop. Its access and contents are tied to the mission state. A shard known as My grandpa was the King! is reported on a table in a garage northeast of the Skyline & Republic fast-travel dataterm. The garage becomes accessible during Run This Town, when V meets Chester Bennett. Before that point, the garage is closed and the relevant contents are not present.
Garage walkthrough
The mission changes the status of the garage. It should therefore be treated separately from fixed free-roam buildings and not described as a permanently accessible business.
---
Garage walkthrough
- 01Start Run This Town and follow the objective to Downtown.
- 02Travel to Skyline & Republic if the game has not already placed you nearby.
- 03Follow the marker to the garage rather than trying to force entry early.
- 04Activate Aguilar’s imprint at the indicated location.
- 05After the mission opens the space, search the garage table for My grandpa was the King!
- 06Continue to the wake and later choices according to your preferred outcome.
Residents, visitors and ordinary NPCs
Named residents and workers
The only clearly verified named permanent worker in the immediate area is:
Mission visitors
The following characters are associated with the area through Run This Town, but should not be described as ordinary Skyline & Republic residents:
Their presence depends on mission progression. They are visitors or story participants, not evidence that the area is their normal home.
Ordinary NPCs
The streets around Skyline & Republic contain ordinary Downtown pedestrians, drivers, corporate workers, service staff and security personnel. Their exact appearance and behaviour are not fixed in the way a named resident’s schedule is. They should be treated as ambient population rather than a directory of named locals.
---
Factions, law enforcement and security
Skyline & Republic is part of City Center, a heavily policed corporate zone. City Center is not presented as a gang-controlled district, and guides characterise it as having a strong NCPD presence intended to prevent disruption to business and worker productivity.
This does not mean every nearby enemy is a permanent faction outpost. Random encounters, mission groups and hostile security teams can appear in the wider Downtown area. Distinguish:
No independently verified local gang headquarters or named gang-controlled compound was found within the immediate Skyline & Republic scope.
---
Factions, law enforcement and security
| Name | Details |
|---|---|
| NCPD presence | ordinary law enforcement and wanted-level response. |
| Corporate security | guards attached to buildings or mission spaces. |
| Mission enemies | groups spawned for a particular objective. |
| Random encounters | enemies or incidents that may not remain after the area resets. |
Buildings, businesses and landmarks
Skyline & Republic is visually dense but relatively light on individually named, functional interiors. Many storefronts and towers are environmental dressing rather than usable shops. A business name or sign alone does not establish that V can buy goods there.
Background and environmental spaces
These environmental labels describe the spaces’ function, not necessarily official in-game names. They are included to help navigation and are not claims that each is a separate map entry.
Shops and services directory
There is no reliable evidence that Skyline & Republic itself contains a weapon vendor, clothing vendor, food vendor, apartment, vehicle purchase point or playable bar. Downtown as a whole has additional services, but they should be assigned to their own locations.
---
Missions and activities
Downtown activities that should not automatically be assigned here
These are Downtown activities, but the available area directory does not establish that each begins or takes place specifically at Skyline & Republic. Treat them as Downtown-wide content, not confirmed Skyline & Republic missions.
---
Directly associated content
| Activity | Availability | Local relevance |

| Run This Town | Phantom Liberty | Uses the Skyline & Republic area and nearby garage |
| Visit Darius Clarke | Base game | Permanent ripperdoc service |
| Collect rocker ankle boots | Base game | Fixed environmental pickup |

Hazards and secrets
Vertical navigation
The biggest practical hazard is not a unique enemy type but the area’s layered layout. A destination marker may appear close while being separated by:
When a route seems blocked, circle the junction before resorting to a jump or vehicle route.
Police response
Because the area is inside heavily policed City Center, gunfire or accidental collisions can produce a rapid NCPD response. If you are searching for the boots or exploring the lower paths, avoid firing at neutral NPCs and watch vehicle positioning around the junction.
Mission-state garage
The Run This Town garage is the most important local progression trap. It is not simply a missed door that can be opened with a higher Body or Technical Ability score. Its availability is tied to the mission. Search it during the mission after access is established if you want the shard inside.
Possible waterfront hostiles
Community reports describe hostile Arasaka-associated personnel and a combat robot near a lower water-side area close to the fast-travel point. This is not sufficiently documented as a named permanent activity or guaranteed encounter, so it should be treated as an unconfirmed or encounter-dependent hazard, not a formal Skyline & Republic landmark.
