About this guide
Scope note: Kennedy North is not a district or named neighbourhood in its own right. It is a fast-travel dataterm and street-side location in Kabuki, one of Watson’s subdistricts. This guide therefore covers the dataterm’s immediate surroundings and the nearby Kabuki content that can reasonably be reached from it, while keeping the wider Kabuki, Little China and Northside areas separate.
Overview

Cyberpunk 2077, base game
Introduction
Kennedy North is one of Kabuki’s less celebrated fast-travel points, but it is a useful anchor for exploring the north-central part of Watson. It sits among Kabuki’s dense residential blocks, market lanes, elevated roads and improvised commercial spaces. From here, V can quickly reach several Kabuki activities, including the gig Troublesome Neighbors, nearby NCPD activity and the streets leading towards Kabuki Market, Charter Street, Pinewood Junction and the southern edge of Northside.
The name can be misleading. Kennedy North does not identify a broad geographical region comparable to Kabuki, Northside or Little China. It is a map label attached to a fast-travel terminal, with the surrounding streets forming part of Kabuki rather than a separate subarea.
Location and boundaries
Kennedy North lies in Kabuki, the north-eastern subdistrict of Watson. Kabuki is a crowded, commercially active area built around narrow roads, market stalls, stacked housing, bridges and makeshift businesses. The location is north of the denser central Kabuki streets and close to the roads that lead towards the northern industrial parts of Watson.
The game’s fast-travel lists place Kennedy North among the Kabuki dataterms, alongside Kabuki Market, Charter Street, Pinewood Junction, Sutter Street and the other Kabuki points. Northside has its own separate group of fast-travel points, including All Foods Plant, Martin Street and Megabuilding H11.
Included immediate surroundings
The area immediately around Kennedy North consists mainly of:
There is no evidence that Kennedy North has an official internal hierarchy of named neighbourhoods or that it contains separately recognised child-areas. Treating it as a full region would incorrectly absorb most of Kabuki into the fast-travel point.
The most important boundary distinction is this
| Name | Details |
|---|---|
| Kennedy North itself | the dataterm and its immediate street surroundings. |
| Kabuki | the wider subdistrict containing Kennedy North. |
| Northside | the industrial subdistrict to the north-west and west, including the All Foods Plant and other industrial locations. |
| Little China | the Watson subdistrict to the south-west, containing places such as Megabuilding H10 and the Afterlife. |
| Arasaka Waterfront | a separate Watson subdistrict to the north-west, controlled by Arasaka and not part of Kennedy North. |
The dataterm
Kennedy North is primarily useful because it provides a convenient fast-travel arrival point in northern Kabuki. Fast-travel dataterms are automatically added to the map when V comes close to them. They do not normally need to be used manually for discovery, although interacting with one allows fast travel to other unlocked points.
The terminal is also relevant to completionists. Fast-travel dataterms count towards the game’s fast-travel collection requirements, including the Frequent Flyer achievement or trophy. They are not conventional loot collectibles, and they do not contain a fixed weapon, shard or unique item simply because the player activates them.
Fast-travel directory: Kabuki
The following named dataterms belong to Kabuki rather than to Kennedy North alone:
These should not be treated as subareas of Kennedy North. They are separate navigation points within Kabuki.

Geography and navigation
Kennedy North is most useful as a starting point for moving through the layered streets of Kabuki. The area is easier to understand by direction than by a strict circular boundary.
South
Heading south takes V towards the busier and more commercially concentrated parts of Kabuki. This is the most important direction for the gig Troublesome Neighbors, whose starting area lies south of the Kennedy North fast-travel point. The route also leads towards more crowded market streets and the Kabuki roundabout area.
North-west
The north-western route reaches a bridge where a Kabuki Assault in Progress takes place. The encounter is close enough to Kennedy North to make the dataterm a useful travel point for clearing it. The activity involves a single armed enemy, with evidence recovered from a body after the area is secured. A vending machine can be used as a distraction, and stairs provide access to the evidence location.
North and north-east
These roads lead towards the upper Kabuki approaches and the routes connecting with the more industrial parts of Watson. The boundary with Northside is nearby in practical travel terms, but Kennedy North remains a Kabuki location. Do not use the presence of industrial-looking buildings as proof that the area belongs to Northside.
West
Travelling west eventually brings V towards the northern roads of Watson and the industrial environments of Northside. The most relevant separate destinations include Megabuilding H11, All Foods Plant, Martin Street, Longshore North and other Northside fast-travel points. These are not part of Kennedy North.
Nearby named places
The following places are close enough to be useful when navigating from Kennedy North, but they are separate locations rather than internal parts of the dataterm’s immediate footprint.
Little China connections
The repeated name Goldsmith Street is a good example of why fast-travel directories should be checked by subdistrict. The Watson map contains separate entries associated with different areas, and a nearby-looking name does not automatically mean that both points belong to Kennedy North or Kabuki.

Residents, visitors and factions
No named permanent resident is documented as belonging specifically to the Kennedy North dataterm area. The surrounding Kabuki streets are populated by ordinary Night Citizens, street vendors, workers, shoppers and gang members, but most are background NPCs rather than named characters.
Kabuki’s wider social environment is associated particularly with the Tyger Claws, although the subdistrict also contains independent civilians, black-market traders and other hostile groups. Faction control is not the same as formal ownership of every street or building. Encounters can vary according to the activity currently taking place.
Named people connected with nearby content
Taki Kenmochi is a mission target, not a freely available resident who can be visited independently before the gig begins. The mission sends V to a pachinko-machine area south of Kennedy North, where Taki and his associates can be confronted.
Named people connected with nearby content
| Name | Details |
|---|---|
| Taki Kenmochi | target of the gig Troublesome Neighbors. |
| Regina Jones | Watson fixer responsible for the gig network and several activities in the district. |
Shops, services and businesses
Kennedy North does not have a documented named shop or guaranteed vendor located directly at the dataterm itself. Kabuki as a whole contains numerous stalls and commercial spaces, but a visible storefront should not automatically be classified as a functional shop.
Important distinctions
The nearby Troublesome Neighbors location includes pachinko machines and a building with front and rear approaches, but it is primarily a mission site rather than a permanent gambling service. The available walkthrough evidence describes the machines as part of the approach to locating Taki Kenmochi, not as a general-purpose minigame venue.
Important distinctions
| Name | Details |
|---|---|
| Functional shop | has an actual vendor or service interface. |
| Decorative storefront | appears as part of the environment but does not necessarily sell anything. |
| Mission location | accessible or relevant because of a quest. |
| Nearby business | belongs to Kabuki generally, not specifically to Kennedy North. |
Missions and activities
Troublesome Neighbors
Troublesome Neighbors is the most directly associated activity with Kennedy North. It is a gig in Kabuki available through Regina Jones.
The gig becomes available after V travels to Kennedy North and heads south. The objective is to locate and neutralise Taki Kenmochi, who is found near pachinko machines inside the mission area. The location provides two main approaches:
The rear approach can make it easier to deal with Kenmochi’s associates before confronting the target. The front route is quicker, but it can expose V to several enemies at once. Nearby machines can be hacked or used for distraction, making stealth a practical option.
Troublesome Neighbors rewards
The mission is available to all lifepaths. It is an Act 1 gig and does not require a specific origin story.
Kabuki Assault in Progress
A Kabuki Assault in Progress occurs north-west of Kennedy North. It takes place on a bridge and is comparatively small, with one armed opponent reported at the encounter site.
The activity is a fixed NCPD encounter rather than a random street event. Once completed, it does not normally repopulate as a fresh NCPD objective.
Other nearby Kabuki activities
Kabuki contains further NCPD encounters, but not all of them are within the immediate Kennedy North area. The wider Kabuki activity directory includes seven Assaults in Progress distributed across the subdistrict. Their locations include areas near Pinewood Street, Kabuki: Central, Charter Street, Kabuki Market and Kennedy North.
For accuracy, the nearby activities should be separated as follows:
Troublesome Neighbors
- 01Enter through the front of the building and move directly towards the pachinko machines.
- 02Use the rear access route to reach the area from behind.
Troublesome Neighbors rewards: The reported rewards are
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Eddies | 1,240 |
| Experience | 195 |
| Street Cred | 438 |
Kabuki Assault in Progress: A straightforward completion route is
- 01Fast-travel to Kennedy North.
- 02Travel north-west towards the bridge.
- 03Use the vending machine to distract the enemy if approaching stealthily.
- 04Neutralise the hostile.
- 05Climb the nearby stairs.
- 06Loot or examine the body containing the evidence.
Other nearby Kabuki activities
| Name | Details |
|---|---|
| Directly associated with Kennedy North | Troublesome Neighbors. |
| Immediately nearby | the north-west bridge Assault in Progress. |
| Wider Kabuki content | other NCPD activities reached from separate fast-travel points. |
Enemies and combat
Kennedy North itself does not have a permanent boss arena or named enemy leader. Hostiles appear through missions, NCPD events and ordinary open-world encounters.
The gig’s enemies can be approached with stealth, hacking or direct combat. The bridge NCPD encounter is particularly suitable for a stealth takedown because of the small number of enemies and the available distraction object.
Law enforcement and security
Kennedy North is an ordinary public area of Kabuki rather than a permanently restricted corporate facility. V can normally enter and leave without a security checkpoint or access requirement.
Police activity follows the usual Cyberpunk 2077 rules:
There is no verified permanent security gate, faction checkpoint or special clearance requirement attached to Kennedy North itself.
Items and collectibles
The confirmed fixed collectible associated with the location is the Kennedy North fast-travel dataterm. It is not a unique weapon or shard cache.
Fast-travel dataterms are not permanently missable. They can be collected later in free roam, including after the main story by continuing with the game’s post-ending free-roam option.
Recommended exploration route
For a practical first visit, use this route:
Recommended exploration route: steps
- 01Activate the Kennedy North dataterm. This records the fast-travel point and makes it a reliable return route.
Recommended exploration route: steps
- 01Explore south first. This takes V towards the mission area for Troublesome Neighbors and the busier Kabuki streets.
Recommended exploration route: steps
- 01Complete Troublesome Neighbors if available. Check the building with pachinko machines and decide between the front and rear approaches.
Recommended exploration route: steps
- 01Return to Kennedy North and travel north-west. Look for the bridge-based Assault in Progress.
Recommended exploration route: steps
- 01Clear the NCPD activity. Use the vending machine for distraction, then recover the evidence from the body above the stairs.
Recommended exploration route: steps
- 01Continue towards Kabuki Market or Pinewood Junction. These are better anchors for exploring the wider subdistrict than Kennedy North itself.
Recommended exploration route: steps
- 01Use the northern roads to reach Northside. If the goal is All Foods, Megabuilding H11 or the industrial docks, switch mentally from Kabuki content to Northside content once the map and activity labels change.
Spoilers and progressionSpoilers
Minor progression notes
Kennedy North itself does not appear to change dramatically across the main story. Its dataterm remains a stable navigation point, and Kabuki remains explorable during ordinary free roam.
The main progression-sensitive content is activity availability. Gigs and NCPD events may require V to have advanced far enough for the relevant fixer or map activity to appear. Troublesome Neighbors is an Act 1 gig and is available to all lifepaths, but the player still needs to meet the normal gig-unlock conditions.
Major spoilers
There is no major story revelation tied specifically to Kennedy North. The location is more important as a practical starting point for nearby Kabuki content than as a central story setting.
