The Heist

The Heist is the pivotal early main job in Cyberpunk 2077, bringing V, Jackie Welles, T-Bug and Dexter DeShawn together for a break-in at Konpeki Plaza.

The mission begins after V has completed the two preparation jobs arranged by Dexter DeShawn: The Information and The Pickup. Once the plan is ready, V and Jackie Welles travel to the Afterlife, meet with Dexter, and receive the final briefing for stealing the Relic from the Arasaka-owned Konpeki Plaza. The job is presented as a high-value extraction rather than a straightforward firefight, so the early stages emphasize access, surveillance and keeping the operation quiet.

At Konpeki Plaza, V and Jackie use the cover identity supplied by Dexter to reach the hotel suite connected to the target. T-Bug supports the operation remotely while the pair search for the Relic and work around the hotel's security systems. The mission allows room for stealth, exploration and direct combat, but its major story beats proceed along the same broad route regardless of how the player handles individual guards.

The operation changes when Yorinobu Arasaka enters the suite with Saburo Arasaka. V and Jackie witness a confrontation that makes the Relic theft far more dangerous than expected. From that point onward, the priority becomes surviving the hotel, reaching an escape route and getting the damaged Relic to safety.    Reach the hotel suite.

   Enter Konpeki Plaza

   Travel with Jackie Welles to Konpeki Plaza and use the hotel entrance indicated by the plan. Follow the concierge and hotel staff through the opening section, then take the route toward the assigned suite instead of wandering into restricted areas too early.

   Enter the suite.

   Reach the suite with Jackie

   Follow Jackie Welles through the hotel and use the elevator to reach the suite area. The mission gives you time to move through the room and prepare the theft, so search nearby spaces for optional loot before interacting with the main target.

Mission mechanics

The first half of The Heist is structured around controlled infiltration. V can move through the hotel with Jackie Welles, observe patrols and use the environment to delay detection. A stealth approach is not mandatory, but it rewards patience: avoid unnecessary confrontations, keep to the route toward the suite and treat optional exploration as something to finish before the story's alarm state begins.

Once the story changes at the suite, the mission becomes more linear. Combat, cover and healing become more important as security forces respond to the break-in. The safest general practice is to keep moving between cover positions, use quickhacks or weapons that match the range of the encounter, and avoid spending all resources on enemies who do not block the next objective.

The mission also uses scripted transitions heavily. Some doors, elevators and routes become available only after T-Bug or the current objective advances, so a locked path is often a sign that the player must return to the marked objective rather than search for an alternate entrance. The hotel is designed to funnel the crew toward the extraction route after the Relic is recovered.
