Key takeaways

  • The Glen is a sub-district of Heywood, not a separate main district of Night City.
  • Its northern half is the civic and polished face of the neighbourhood, centred on City Hall, Reconciliation Park and Embers.
  • Its southern half is poorer and more dangerous, with Valentinos, 6th Street and Scavenger activity represented in different encounters.
  • The Glen contains several important story locations, including Embers, the setting for a major main-job meeting, and Tucker Albach’s apartment, the target of the gig Eye for an Eye.
  • The district has a useful mix of activities a boxing match, NCPD scanner hustles, Delamain’s local objective, gigs, a weapon shop, a purchasable apartment and several fast-travel points.
  • The district’s buildings and businesses should be separated into functional locations, mission spaces and background scenery. Not every named building is enterable or a working shop.

About this guide

Scope note: This guide covers The Glen as a sub-district of Heywood in Cyberpunk 2077, not the wider Heywood district, Vista del Rey, Wellsprings, or the older tabletop-era version of The Glen. Phantom Liberty locations are excluded. The district’s full in-game boundaries are not formally stated by the game, so the practical boundaries below are based on the game’s district map, fast-travel labels, named locations and relevant quest areas. Some minor storefronts and background names are difficult to verify from surviving public indexes, so the directory at the end is comprehensive only against the researched sources listed here, not a claim that every environmental sign has been catalogued.

Overview

Cyberpunk 2077, base game

Cyberpunk 2077, base game

Introduction

The Glen is the most politically important part of Heywood and one of the clearest examples of Night City’s social contradictions. Its northern streets contain City Hall, Reconciliation Park, expensive restaurants and a government-backed urban landscape designed to project stability. Its southern and south-eastern streets become poorer, more residential and more openly controlled by gangs, particularly the Valentinos and 6th Street.

The district is therefore more than the area around City Hall. Treating The Glen as only its clean northern centre misses the Valentino territory, low-rise housing, mission locations, apartment blocks, combat encounters and the streets that visually and geographically lead towards Vista del Rey. The game presents it as a broad transitional neighbourhood, with civic architecture at one end and working-class Heywood at the other.

Northern The Glen

The northern end is the district’s public face. City Hall and Reconciliation Park anchor an area of cleaner streets, larger buildings and more expensive businesses. Embers, an exclusive restaurant and club, is located on the thirteenth floor of a building near the park. Its clientele includes high-ranking corporate executives, making it an especially pointed symbol of The Glen’s political and economic role.

This part of the district is the best place to begin an exploration route. It establishes the contrast that defines The Glen before the player moves into the poorer streets.

Central and southern The Glen

Further south, the urban environment becomes more compressed and residential. The district contains low-rise housing, alleys, garages, shops and gang-held spaces. This is where the separation between “government district” and “ordinary Heywood neighbourhood” becomes least convincing.

The game’s artbook description specifically presents the northern edge as relatively attractive while describing the southern area as poorer and crime-ridden, merging towards Vista del Rey. That is a useful guide to the district’s intended hierarchy: The Glen is not uniformly affluent, and the transition from civic authority to gang territory is part of its design rather than an accidental border.

---

City Hall

City Hall is the symbolic centre of The Glen and the seat of Night City’s mayor. It represents the post-war reconstruction project that created the district as a governmental zone. In gameplay, it is primarily a landmark and background civic building rather than a freely explorable public facility.

Named entry

Reconciliation Park

Reconciliation Park is the main public green space in The Glen. It is one of the district’s clearest signs of investment and functions as a visual breathing space between the large buildings and the surrounding roads.

The park is also a useful navigation point. The Reconciliation Park fast-travel dataterm places the player near the northern civic zone, while Embers is nearby. The park is not a major loot dungeon or quest hub, but it is an effective starting point for a walking tour of the district.

Named entry

Reconciliation Park

Embers

Embers is a high-end restaurant and club on the thirteenth floor of a tower near Reconciliation Park. It is an important main-job location and should not be confused with an ordinary restaurant that V can freely revisit as a normal dining service.

The venue matters because it brings corporate power into the Glen’s civic landscape. Its elevated location and exclusive clientele make it almost a vertical extension of City Hall’s authority. During the relevant main job, access is mission-driven and the building becomes a controlled story environment rather than an open commercial venue.

Named entry

Embers

Coyoacan

Coyoacan is a named market and commercial area in The Glen. It is one of the district’s most useful examples of the contrast between ordinary local commerce and the polished northern centre.

The market contains several named or signposted businesses. The most important confirmed functional location is the 2nd Amendment weapon shop. Other names associated with Coyoacan include Breakout Hotdogs and SoftSys. These should be listed separately because a named storefront is not automatically a usable vendor or quest location.

Named entries

2nd Amendment at Coyoacan

The 2nd Amendment is a Budget Arms weapons-store chain. The Coyoacan branch is one of several 2nd Amendment locations in Night City. It is a functional weapon vendor, unlike many decorative shops in the wider market.

The store’s stock changes with character level and game progression. A documented inventory includes pistols, revolvers, submachine guns, shotguns, assault rifles, light machine guns, precision rifles and sniper rifles. The vendor also sells selected crafting specifications, including specs associated with the DR-12 Quasar, Crusher and G-58 Dian.

Practical use

---

V’s Glen Apartment

V’s Glen Apartment was added with Patch 1.5 as part of the free additional-apartments content. It is a loft in an unnamed building on Los Lobos. V can rent it for €$80,000 after the apartment-rental feature becomes available.

The coffee machine grants a temporary stamina-related status effect, while the bed and shower provide the usual apartment-related temporary bonuses. The Glen apartment is therefore both a fast-travel anchor and a practical home base, though the original H10 apartment remains the main location for certain memorabilia and pet interactions.

How to acquire it

Status: Purchasable player property, not a normal commercial hotel room.

How to acquire it

  1. 01
Complete the relevant early story progression and meet the conditions for the additional apartment system.
  2. 02
Receive the EZEstates message and inspect the apartment listings.
  3. 03
    Select The Glen apartment.
  4. 04
Pay the one-time rental fee of €$80,000, either through the listing or at the apartment.
  5. 05
Travel to the Glen Apartment dataterm and enter the new home.

Tucker Albach’s Apartment

Tucker Albach’s apartment is a Kiroshi-owned conapt on the corner of Scoffield and Sinkyone Street. It is the target location for the gig Eye for an Eye.

The building has three floors and several possible approaches. The front entrance is guarded, while the rear door requires Technical Ability 15 to force open. Other approaches include hacking or entering through a window. The layout includes construction workers, guards, Albach’s office, a bedroom and a computer.

This is a mission-only combat and infiltration space in normal play. It should not be described as a general-purpose residential location available for unrestricted exploration before the gig.

Named entry

Gaston Slayton’s Apartment

Gaston Slayton’s Apartment is listed among The Glen’s 2077 locations. It is associated with the district’s named location directory, but it is not presented as a general player residence or ordinary vendor location.

Named entry

Jackie's Garage

Jackie’s Garage is another named Glen location. Its importance is story-associated rather than commercial. It should be kept separate from ordinary repair facilities, because the existence of a garage does not mean the player can use it as a vehicle-service shop.

Named entry

---

The Glen contains a mixture of functional shops, named food businesses, mission scenery and decorative storefronts. The following distinctions matter:

The El Coyote Cojo is especially important because it is both a visible neighbourhood landmark and a recurring story location. It sits close to the Glen’s more traditional Heywood streets and is connected with the Valentinos and several side activities. The district fast-travel list includes El Coyote Cojo, making it a practical southern starting point.

Directory of named businesses and services

---

The Glen has a dense set of fast-travel points compared with its size. The confirmed district dataterms are:

These names are more useful as navigation anchors than as a strict legal boundary map. For example, a station labelled Glen South may be close to streets whose visual character resembles Vista del Rey, while Reconciliation Park clearly belongs to the northern civic zone.

Valentinos

The Valentinos are the district’s most recognisable gang presence. They are particularly visible in the southern and poorer areas, including the streets leading towards Vista del Rey. The district’s boxing champion, César Diego Ruiz, is a Valentino and represents the gang’s local influence outside ordinary firefights.

The Valentinos should not be treated as the sole authority in every part of The Glen. Their presence is strongest in the southern neighbourhoods, while the northern civic core remains visibly shaped by City Hall, NCPD and corporate security.

6th Street

6th Street also operates in The Glen. The gang’s presence is part of the district’s broader instability and reflects the older conflict between 6th Street and the Valentinos. Their activity does not mean that every combat encounter in The Glen belongs to 6th Street, nor that the whole district is under their control.

Scavengers

Scavengers are listed among The Glen’s 2077 gang presences. They appear in the wider district’s violent and criminal ecosystem, but the most recognisable local identity remains the conflict between the Valentinos, 6th Street and official security.

NCPD

The NCPD is the formal security provider for The Glen. Its presence is most strongly implied by the government buildings, police infrastructure and scanner hustles. The district’s reputation for relative safety is therefore based on concentrated policing rather than on low crime in every neighbourhood.

Beat on the Brat: The Glen

This minor job is part of Coach Fred’s city-wide boxing series. It becomes available after the general Beat on the Brat progression and sends V to face César Diego Ruiz, the Glen’s Valentino boxing champion.

The match

Ruiz fights in an open ring in The Glen. Before the match, V must stake €$20,000. Ruiz stakes his Villefort Alvarado, nicknamed “Vato”.

The fight is difficult at low level because Ruiz has a large health pool and a powerful forward attack. His blurred step and leap punch have a clear tell. The safest general method is:

After winning, V can choose among different reward outcomes:

The outcome affects the immediate reward and later dialogue. The optional vehicle is the Villefort Alvarado “Vato”, and the money reward can reach €$20,000 depending on the choice.

Named entries

Keep distance rather than standing directly in front of him.
  2. 02
Watch for the blur and raised fists.
  3. 03
Circle to the right as he commits to the leap.
  4. 04
    Counter while he is recovering.

Back away and allow stamina to recover.
  6. 06
    Repeat rather than trading blows.

The match

Eye for an Eye

Eye for an Eye is a Regina Jones gig in The Glen. Its target location is Tucker Albach’s apartment. The gig combines infiltration, combat and a moral decision surrounding Albach’s situation.

The apartment offers several entry routes, so the player can approach it through stealth, hacking, Technical Ability or direct combat. The rear entrance requires Technical Ability 15, while window access can be used by players with suitable mobility or hacking options.

Eye for an Eye

Psychofan

Psychofan is a Sebastian Ibarra gig located in The Glen. It is a theft-oriented mission in which the player infiltrates a residential location connected with a celebrity-related objective. The gig is listed as a The Glen job and should be treated as separate from Eye for an Eye, even though both use residential interiors.

Named entry

Psychofan

Delamain’s Glen objective

The Glen is one of the locations used by the Delamain quest chain. The objective is part of Epistrophy, in which V tracks down one of Delamain’s missing taxis. It is an activity rather than a permanent district service, and its availability depends on progressing the Delamain storyline.

Named entry

NCPD scanner activities

These are fixed activities rather than random events. Their enemy composition and rewards are tied to the activity, although ordinary street encounters and gang patrols can vary.

Named entries

---

The Glen’s major fixed rewards are associated with activities rather than a large unique collectible set.

The weapon vendor’s inventory is level-sensitive and should not be confused with guaranteed world loot. The Glen Apartment is fixed content added in Patch 1.5, while the apartment’s temporary status effects come from its interactable furnishings.

Potentially missable or state-dependent content

---

The Glen was conceived as a governmental redevelopment project during Night City’s reconstruction. The City Council sought corporate help, and the resulting district became a concentration point for public administration, corporate offices, financial facilities and law enforcement.

This arrangement also produced conflict. In 2045, South Night City residents protested after discovering that district funds had been redirected towards upgrading the NCPD First Division headquarters in The Glen. The protest reached the governmental district and ended in a major clash with the NCPD, including extensive property damage and fires.

By 2077, the district’s original plan survives only partially. City Hall and Reconciliation Park still communicate public order and civic investment, but the surrounding neighbourhood has absorbed ordinary Heywood life, gang politics and economic inequality. The result is a place where a luxury club, a city-government landmark, a Valentino boxing ring and a low-income apartment block can all exist within a short journey of one another.

Continuity warning

The 2045 version of The Glen belongs to the Cyberpunk RED era and includes many locations that do not function as 2077 gameplay areas. Examples include:

These are continuity-era entries, not a list of currently explorable base-game locations. The 2077 directory is therefore kept separate from the 2045 directory.

Before leaving The Glen, check that you have:

Is The Glen part of Heywood?

Yes. In Cyberpunk 2077, The Glen is one of Heywood’s sub-districts, alongside Vista del Rey and Wellsprings.

Is The Glen the same as Vista del Rey?

No. They are neighbouring Heywood sub-districts. The southern Glen visually and socially blends towards Vista del Rey, which can make the boundary feel indistinct, but they remain separate map areas.

Can I buy a home in The Glen?

Yes. V can rent the Glen Apartment for €$80,000 after the additional apartment system becomes available.

Is Embers a normal restaurant?

No. It is a named luxury restaurant and club, but its meaningful interior access is associated with a main-job sequence rather than ordinary repeatable dining.

What is the best reward from Beat on the Brat: The Glen?

That depends on whether you value the money or the vehicle. Winning allows V to take both, take one and leave the other, or decline both. The unique vehicle reward is the Villefort Alvarado “Vato”.

Is The Glen safe?

Only in comparison with more openly lawless districts. Its northern civic area has strong NCPD and security visibility, but the wider district includes gang territory, organised-crime activities and dangerous streets. The district’s defining feature is the abrupt change in safety and wealth over a short distance.
